Love liquid - lubricant discontinued by Kama Sutra - review by removedacnt

Let me preface this review by saying I prefer not to use lube if I don't have to. And that I have several lubes because I'm still searching for the ideal water based lube.

With that said, KamaSutra Love Liquid is my favorite water based lubricant for "me" time. It comes in a very classy, gold and black, small, oval shaped, plastic bottle with a flip top lid. I love the lid because it's super easy to hold the bottle and open it with the same hand. Just a flick of a finger will pop it open. One word of warning is that this is a very thin lubricant, so it will pour out of the bottle if you're not careful.

The ingredients of this Love Liquid are: Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Sodium Benzoate. I'm not an expert on ingredients, but I do know that some women have issues with glycerin in their lubes. So I just wanted to make sure to mention it. I have never had a problem, healthwise, with it but I don't tend to have problems with any of the ingredients in any of the lubes I've tried. It is L-Arginine Free and Paraben free. KamaSutra claims this to be unflavored, but I do notice a bit of sweetness to it when it's licked. It is also completely unscented.

One of my biggest gripes about lubes is that they seem to get in the way of my feeling sensations. I don't have that problem with the Love Liquid. I think it's because the consistency is quite thin, very slick, slippery and silky feeling. It feels very similar to silicone lubricants. A little goes a long way, and it lasts a long time. It doesn't get sticky and I've never had to reapply when using it.

I use Love Liquid mostly with my toys. I find the thinness, and the fact that you need so little, works well with all types of toy materials. But I especially love that I can use it with my ever growing collection of silicone toys. I don't use it very often for vaginal sex, because I prefer using silicone lubes for that. I definitely would not recommend this for anal play of any kind. I just don't think it would hold up well enough for that. Also because it only has 3.4 oz in a bottle ,I'm a bit selfish with this lube. I keep it tucked away in my toy drawer for my own personal use.

Because it doesn't leave any residue on me, my toys, or my bedding, clean up is extremely easy after I'm done playing. I would have to say the only downside to this, is the price is a little steep. But I'm on my second bottle, so it's obviously worth the price to me.

This is the lube that I use most often. I originally wrote that I have it hidden away for "me time", but since then I have been using it for sex as well; and I'm really loving it for that too. It feels more like my natural lubrication than any other I've found. So I guess I'm just going to have to stock up on this, because it is definitely my "go to" lube. The only thing that would make it better is if it came in a larger size.
