Ultra - silicone-based lubricant by Wicked - review by vulvalicious

Wicked's Ultra silicone lubricant can be used in a number of intimate situations where you want an extra smooth surface or glide. It can be used safely externally and internally by men or women. This silicone lube is long lasting making it good for anal play and any other extended sensual encounters where you don't want to have to worry about re-applying lube or drying out. When applied to the skin, Wicked Ultra creates a subtle gloss that feels smooth and silky to touch. It makes me want to touch myself, my partner, have my partner slide himself over, between, in and through...you get the picture. Seeing our naughty bits all shiny and glossy and knowing how incredibly soft and sensual this product is on the skin makes me want to use it all the time.

On the bottle this lube claims to be: "never sticky, fragrance-free, glycerin free, paraben free, long lasting and vegan - no animal by products or testing." The only two ingredients listed are Dimethicone (a silicone oil) and Dimethiconol (often used as a non-greasy skin/hair conditioner). I can validate, from multiple, blissful uses of this product that it is never sticky or tacky, fragrance-free and long lasting. I'll have to assume that the rest of the claims are true statements by the manufacturer.

This lube is soft and supple, velvety smooth, light and luxurious. It's clear and thicker/less runny than most water-based lubes. It spreads easily over the skin or onto a non-silicone toy. It feels a little bit like oil (massage, baby, olive) but it is not greasy at all. This lube does run so be aware of that when trying to get it from the bottle/your finger to the desired location. Hold your hand flat in transit or apply the lube directly to the location where you want to use.

If this lube wasn't so expensive, and it is worth every penny, I would cover myself in it every day. I purposefully don't clean up my body with soap and water after using it because I love the feel of it on my skin. It's soft, moisturizing, and doesn't leave any kind of unwanted residue.

Wicked Ultra has no smell and there is not really a taste. You just sort of know something is there on the skin, but not enough to say it tastes like anything. It's more that you notice the texture is different. I would not recommend using this for oral as it is not marketed as an edible product.

The fact that this lube comes in a pump bottle is amazing. Our last silicone lube was Wet Platinum, which pales in comparison to Wicked Ultra, and it had a flip-top. Well, after so many uses lube got on the bottle and the thing was a slippery mess to try and hold. Half the time it slipped out of our hands and ended up on the floor or under the bed covered in hair and lint.

Whether for solo or partner play, I usually only need two small pumps worth of lube and that lasts my entire session, some of which have been in the hour-long range. I tend to get dry around my outer labia and so I leave this lube on after use as I've noticed a moisturizing property to it. I sometimes even apply it for that purpose alone and not for sexual use. It is not greasy and does not stain my panties. Additionally, should a spontaneous sexual encounter occur, I'm ready to go!

I've never used this lube in the shower or bath but would advise against it. Silicone will make your tub/shower walls and floors very slick and could cause falls and injury.

The bottle came with a shrink-wrapped firm plastic over it and this was loosely inside another plastic bag. The plastic on the bottle had a dotted-line seam on it, theoretically for easy removal. NOT! It took me forever, and several swear words, to open this little gem. I was stubborn and kept trying to peel the plastic off with my hands, hoping that at one point the perforated plastic tab would actually work like it was supposed to, but this never happened. In hindsight, I should have just gone and grabbed the scissors.
