Blue bra garter and g-string - bra and panty set discontinued by Coquette - review by SparklyGlitter

The first piece is a black bra with blue cups and decorated with lace, ribbons, and rhinestones. It has hook and eye closers in the back and adjustable straps. The front part of the strap is black lace with a blue ribbon running through it. The back of the straps are black elastic. The bottom half of the cups are blue covered in black lace trimmed off with blue ribbon. In the middle of the cups the ribbon ties into a bow with a rhinestone centerpiece. The bra portion is where I have most of my complaints. One thing about this piece that I noticed off the bat was that both of the ribbons in the straps were ripped from the seams that meet with the cups. Wither or not this was a manufacture’s default is unsure because I did not notice this detail until I was putting this outfit away. In the online description, the manufactures state that the bra is underlined and has light patting. Yes the bra was underlined but there was no padding at all. This was a negative in my book. Also the blue ribbon the runs across the middle of the chest gives the effect of cutting ones breasts in half and made them look smaller. With the ribbon plus the effect of having no curve in the top of the cup makes a very flat chested appearance. As a 34B, I felt that this bra flatted me out and added no lift.





The G-string is blue fabric covered with black lace and trimmed in black. Right after pulling this outfit out of the package, I feel in love with the G-string. The panties are very sexy and flirtatious. The fabric does not offer much coverage and is resistant to stretching. But the strings are willing to give a little. In Victoria’s Secret I wear a size small thong and a size 4 to 6 in pants. While I do have some junk in the trunk, I honestly expected this bottom to fit me better than it did. When I first tried on the g string, it was rather tight. It was not too tight to be comfortable but I definitely could tell it was there. If I had the chance to reorder, I would have selected a medium versus the small.





The garter that comes with this outfit is to die for. It is solid blue fabric with lace trimming along with solid black trimming. There are also bow accents on each of the straps and one on top with rhinestone in the middle. The top of the garter is a velvet band and is adjustable in the back.





This outfit come hung on a hanger, but I store my lingerie in a door. The tag that is attached to the bra displays pictures of the set but provides little useful information for the care and maintenance of the product besides a few symbols. The tag says to hand wash, no bleaching, no tumble drying, and no dry cleaning. So to wrap it up, this is a hand wash and hang dry item only. While there was nothing mentioned about ironing, I would not recommend it.Right of the bat, I found problems with this product. The size for this brand runs small. Also, I am sad to say that the individual pieces have some design flaws that make this piece unflattering to some figures. Overall this outfit is still fun and sexy. I gave it 3 stars total. I took one away for the unflattering bra design. Another star was taken away for the small sizing.

While I like the look of this set, the quality is simply not there. I had to sew the ribbions in the straps back to the top of the cups. My boobs look smaller when I am wearing the bra. The bottoms are still a little tight. If my honey really wants me to wear a blue outfit I would still put this set on, but it is not a "go to" product for me.
