Red wet look skirt - skirt discontinued by Coquette - review by CaliGirl

I normally do not buy skirts but when I saw this one, I had to buy it. I am actually very happy that I did. I am between a size 16-18 and I ordered the 1x/2x. It could be a little more snug around the waist (I have a small waist and large ass) but all in all I like it. It is very comfortable and sexy at the same time. According to the size chart I was between sizes. Now that I have tried it on I would suggest that if you are in my position (between sizes) on the size chart I would probably go for the smaller of the two.

The chart states:
Small 4-6 (waist 26-28 in) Hip (36-38in)
Medium 8-10 (waist 26-30) Hip (38-40)
Large 12-14 (waist 30-32) Hip (40-42)
X Large 14-16 (waist 34-36) Hip (44-46)
1X/2X 18-22 (waist 38-42) Hip (46-52)
The waist is 22" unstretched and stretches to 27.5"
The length is 15"
The bottom of the skirt goes out in a flare like style and is 28"
I would think that this skirt would look better if it did not flare out so much.
Personally my waist is 40.5" and my hip/ass is 52.5". That’s the reason I should have gone with the smaller size. Oh well, lesson learned!

WEAR-ABILITY:
It is easy to toss on. No zippers or anything, just an elastic waistband. Since mine was a little looser than it should be, I can't really say if it will hold in a little tummy-bulge. Come to think of it maybe that was why mine was so comfortable, it was a little loose! The inner layer is a softer non-rubbery kind of material. On me it did not ride up, maybe it would if it was a little tighter. One thing that I wasn't a huge fan of was that it had a slight flare to the bottom; it has almost an A-line cut to it.

MATERIAL:
It is made from spandex/nylon which is why it is able to stretch so nicely. However, with that being said, it will not withhold high temperatures (like a dryer). I suggest hand washing it with just a little bit of mild soap then hanging it to dry. It may seem like a pain to wash it that way but it will ensure a longer life of the skirt.

PACKAGING:
It comes wrapped in plastic and on a hanger. It does have two straps for hanging it also which is nice. You do not have to pull the tag off since it is attached by a small safety pin through a strap.

This skirt is great for going out or just staying home and surprising your man with a little hot outfit. Either way the skirt will be a hit! Just make sure you are ready for a lot of attention because it is a dick magnet!

I like that the skirt made me forget about how insecure I am about my legs. I felt nothing but sexy in this and will definitely be buying the black one once it is back in stock!

I still love this skirt! I can't wait to get the black one. If you are trying to decide if you should order it, I would say go for it. I just wish I could find a top to go with it. I found the perfect shoes I can't wait to make it a whole outfit! I wish that all skirts made me feel this sexy.
