Wet look booty short - shorts discontinued by Coquette - review by ToyGurl

I'm very in between on whether I like these shorts or not. The review you're about to read is a little... non-traditional. So please bear with me until the end! I promise I have a good point!


Upon unwrapping these GORGEOUS little things, I realized that the sizes for these actually run... BIG! I ordered the XL, figuring that the L would be more of a medium like their other panties are. But no way, Jose! These are actually quite big and they were falling off of my bum! This leads me to my REAL complaint - they shrink in the wash. This may be the reason they run large... who knows. I washed them regularly, as the tag didn't say to hand wash or anything like that. I did wash them on warm/cold. I have a new fancy washer machine and dryer where you can control the temp, and warm is literally just "warm". Not hot enough to shrink a sweater. So I really don't know what happened in there. Anyhow, at least they fit after this!


I wore them, and boy did my tush look sexy! They cup your booty just right, and the design shows just enough butt cheek to turn your lover on without giving him the entire show. These are the type of panties I like, so I am please with this aspect. They really do add that "wet look" and I love it. If you wear it with a wet white T-Shirt, black bra, etc... you look like you got sprayed down at a car wash and it can be a real turn on for your partner! I highly recommend these for that reason.


I DON'T recommend the panties for the following reason - they are highly un-breatheable. Being made of Nylon and Spandex, I didn't have a worry in the world about this problem. I expected comfortable, breatheable panties. Unfortunately I had to settle for the complete opposite. I felt like my vagina was suffocating the entire time I wore these, and I literally found myself pulling them down to let some air inside.


About a week later I found myself with a yeast infection and a UTI (urinary tract infection), as I am prone to both of these. My doctor said that the material is not good for women with these problems. So if you are like me, I don't recommend these panties. If you absolutely NEED to buy them, only wear them for a short amount of time. Skip the sexy pole dancing, skip the prolonged strip-tease, and take these off as soon as possible. Your vagina will thank you later.


Wash these with a good soap that is safe for dark colors. I've found that they can be a bit difficult to wash. Wash them with delicates, as the "wet look" is made up of a sort of sequin-type material. I haven't quite figured out how it works but over time these will probably lose their shine. Buying a back-up pair is a good idea. They are affordable, so who cares!


Make sure to buy a size bigger as well!

Overall my experience wasn't so great. Mostly because these are not breathable whatsoever. Other than that, my experience would be golden! I'm glad my size was too large since these shrink, and this is something everyone should keep in mind. I wouldn't let these air dry, as they are a little stiff after doing so. Just dry with cold air if you have the option, or dry half of the way and hang dry the other half. That usually works!

I don't like the fact that I can't wear these for a while, and that I have to take them off because they are hardly breathable. Yes, it's a cute idea, but for a girl like me, prone to yeast infections... it isn't worth it!
