Lycra tube dress - mini dress discontinued by Coquette - review by Beck

Functional?
The Lycra tube dress is a functional dress for clubbing, date night, lingerie set, or even to causal dress party. Depending on how you feel about chest exposure and the length of you dress this is the perfect dress for most occasions.

Material and Care
The dress is made of 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex exclusive of the trim.. It have a decent amount of stretch to it, but the ribbon on the front in the waist stops the waist from stretching too much. That ribbon is silky and pink. There are also three Vertical pieces of this pink silk ribbon on the cup area that has some plastic boning in it. The dress material itself is is really soft and silky. The feeling on the skin is wonderful and comfortable. The material is very clingy and does cling to the wrong areas; which you will see in my photos. This is the kind of material that rides up too, especially when you sit down. This material should be hand washed and hanged dry only.

Design
The start of this dress is to rounded peaked cups with a V neckline and loops on the side to hang the dress. There are also loops to slide in the removable straps on the front and the back. The straps are your basic 1/4" thick adjustable straps that are similar to your bra straps. On the back side there is the tags in the middle stitched inside, but the back on the dress is completely black with nothing added to it. The cup area goes from the top of the breast to the waist which is marked with a pink ribbon with an attached bow, but the ribbon is only on the front. There are three vertical pink ribbon pieces with plastic boning lining up on the breast, which is to make it more form fitting to the bust. The ribbon at the waistline does stop the waistline from being stretched too much more than the rest of the dress. The rest of the dress is black and it is meant to cut off about mid thigh.

Quality Check
Not happy with mine: Poor
I will attach some images, but mine has poor quality. The middle vertical pink ribbon with the plastic boning is fraying. The bow came undone the first time I put this on, but it does look better without it. Along the top boarder is overlapping of material that is poorly stitched. All along the majority of the stitching is frayed and has loose strings.

The length of the dress cuts off about mid thigh on me, but when I sit it does ride up inappropriately. The cups area is maxed out with my DDD's, but they fit inside there, however there is minimal support for them. The straps do help with that, but I find most thin straps like that dig in my shoulders and are uncomfortable, so I'd rather be somewhat saggy. You can wear a strapless bra with the dress and it would not be seen. The area that was the tightest, on me, was the waistline, but it did seem to slim it some. It was not uncomfortable tight though.

Overall
I am giving this dress four stars even with the poor quality. I do love it and it is adorable, but mine seems to be the bad one out of the bunch.

I never pull this dress out anymore. I wasn't happy with the quality of mine and it's just not for me. I wish I liked it more, but I just don't.
