The FixSation is a vibrator that attaches to a garter belt-like piece of lingerie, making it wearable during intercourse. It is shaped in such a way that it rests against the pubic mound and generally stays put. Unlike other couples' vibes like the We-Vibe and Lelo Tiani, the FixSation is marketed as non-invasive, meaning no part of it goes inside the vagina during use. However, like those other vibes, the FixSation is a rechargeable toy.

Like any couples' vibe, the FixSation would be a good choice for someone who wants or needs clitoral stimulation during intercourse, but doesn't want to provide it with her own fingers, or doesn't find fingers as effective as vibrations.

The FixSation vibrator itself is apparently made of ABS plastic with a velvety PU coating. The accompanying panty companion is made of a polyester/nylon blend that stretches plenty and feels soft on the skin, rather than itchy like most lace panties.

There are small ridges on both sides of the FixSation vibrator. My boyfriend didn't even notice the ridges on his side of the toy. On the other hand, the ridges on my side actually hurt me sometimes, grinding into my clit whenever my boyfriend would apply a lot of pressure with his thrusts. I've never known a woman who liked the feeling of sharp ridges sliding across her clit, not sure why the designer of this toy made that decision.

Fortunately, I can only feel the ridges when a lot of pressure is being applied. Most of the time, they're unnoticeable.

The FixSation is shaped to lie against the pubic mound and vulva and stay put there, and it does a good job of that. Even with all the thrusting and rocking that went on during our test sessions, the vibe didn't move away from my clit.

The size is such that the toy doesn't get in the way of penetration - of course, since that's its mission.

My boyfriend remarked that he didn't think the toy looked very sexy in use, despite the cute lacy panties it's attached to.



The toy and the accompanying panties are easy to stuff into a drawer in a hurry - they're very compact.

The FixSation has three speeds, which can be cycled through by pressing the one button on the toy. To turn it on or off, you hold down the button for 2-3 seconds. This is an easy way to operate a toy, and in situations like intercourse, simplicity is important.

The toy has a low-to-medium volume level. It's certainly not silent, but it isn't distractingly loud.

Most women will require some pressure to be able to get off from this toy, but luckily, while you're using it, there will be a partner's pubic bone in close proximity with yours, ready to provide as much pressure as you need! This toy requires close, intimate thrusting to work at its best, and that, in itself, is a good feature - more intimate sex, yay!

The toy claims to be splashproof, but not waterproof. I've rinsed it off with a bit of water before and nothing disastrous happened, so I have no reason to doubt these claims.

The toy's not waterproof, so be careful when washing it (with soap and water, please). Steer clear of the control button and the charging port, and you should be fine.

I'm not exactly sure what the "PU coating" is made of, but I'd avoid silicone-based lube just to be safe. This isn't the kind of toy that really needs lube, anyway (though it might help if you find the ridges uncomfortable).
