A Real Rabbit to Love

As my first Jopen, I think the 6.5 is a great choice for first time Jopen buyers. Heck, it could even be your first or 100th rabbit toy. The strength and design of the 6.5 make it attractive to both beginner and advanced players alike, which is a rare thing to achieve.

Use

Oh, Jopen. You have made me a convert. The Jopen 6.5 is a rabbit vibrator that is designed to stimulate the clitoris and G-spot simultaneously. If you wish to only feel one type of vibration, that's okay too since there are two motors in the 6.5, one for the clitoral attachment and one for the insertable shaft. The 6.5 is on the smaller side compared to some of the other Jopen rabbits, so more petite ladies and those who prefer shorter toys can enjoy this one. The clitoral attachment is also shaped to please a variety of clitorises, compared to some other clitoral attachments.

The 6.5 is beginner friendly as well as a great option for more advanced users. It is not too intimidating in appearance or any size dimension. When inserted it is also fairly discreet, making it a great option for those who live with others or are in a dorm situation. Even if you have a roommate, you can whisk the 6.5 away to she shower since it is waterproof. This can be a rabbit for ladies on the go since it is easier to travel with compared to other rabbits.

While a rabbit, you can use the 6.5 in other ways. It can be a teaser toy on erogenous zones such as the nipples, tummy, and buttocks. This can also work for men to an extent because you can stimulate the P-spot externally from the perineum. The shape isn't the easiest to insert anally if desired, the the attachement and shape of the 6.5 would keep it from getting lost inside the body.

Material / Texture

The 6.5 is made of silicone. Silicone ranks a 10 out of 10 on the Eden Material scale. It is non porous, so bacteria cannot harbor inside the toy. It is also hypoallergenic. There is a little bit of drag to the toy and you can add some water based lubricant to get an effortless glide. The 6.5 is smooth in terms of texture. Stimulation comes more from the shape of the toy than texture. The texture if beginner friendly.

So how does Jopen silicone stack up against other toy companies. I would say that, with my experience, Jopen silicone ranks 3rd in silicone with LELO and Je Joue leading the pack. Still, being next after these two companies is a feat in itself. The reason I rank Jopen's silicone below these two companies is that it's not as buttery soft (it's still nice, though). Jopen silicone also collects fuzzies, unlike the silicone on LELO luxury products.

There is a seam bisecting the toy where the molds come together. It can be felt with fingers, but not when it is used. The seam is also softened, showing care in the making of the toy. The 6.5 also has some flexible points. You can flex the toy at the neck between the base of the toy and where the ends split. The clitoral attachment and shaft can be pulled away from each other. The head of the shaft is not flexible because the motor is located there. It will still allow for fairly firm G-spot stimulation (not super firm). I think the flexibility is a good amount for this toy given its functions.

There is no overt smell or taste to the 6.5.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The 6.5 seems to be on the smaller end of the Jopen Vanity line. It has a total length of 6.5 inches with 4.5 of it being insertable. At about an inch and a half of shaft you'll start making contact with the clitoral attachment. The clitoral attachment is quite large compared to other attachments. It's a modern, wavy shape, which is great for those who don't care for cutesy animals. Overall the design of the 6.5 is sexy, modern and sleek. This is a rabbit for someone who doesn't like the look of typical rabbits (and some of those are rather monstrous in size). The girth of the 6.5 is 4.75 inches in circumference at the widest point. It does taper to get to this point and with a little lubricant this is easy to manage for most. Here it is compared to the LELO Ina 2 and Leaf's Life:

The size of the 6.5 makes it easy to travel with. You can lock the 6.5 by holding both of its buttons for about 4 seconds so it does not accidentally turn on during travel. To protect the silicone, use the pouch/bag the 6.5 comes with. The 6.5 can easily fit in a medium sized purse or anything larger.

In terms of discretion, the 6.5 does look like a sex toy, but is not as glaringly obvious as other rabbits. Personally, I wouldn't mind being caught having this toy lying around since it's a sleek and sexy toy, but I also don't have kids or parents lying about. In terms of sound, the 6.5 is discreet when used in certain ways. If you hold it sideways and turn on the clitoral motor, the attachment will make a loud knocking sound with the shaft. The sound diminishes if you hold the toy upright. For the most quite interaction, it's best to insert and postion the toy before turning up the power. If used with this in mind, the 6.5 is 2 bees.

Functions / Performance / Controls

There are two buttons on the Jopen: one for each motor. The top button is for the shaft and the bottom is for the clitoral attachment. These buttons work just like any toy in the Leaf line. Press and hold the button(s) for the vibrations to increase in intensity. Just press/tap the button to shut it off. This toy doesn't have any fancy patterns, but it is something. The vibrations overall are rumbly and travel.

In terms of Vrooms, there are probably 2 interpretations. If one says the hitachi wand is 5 vrooms, then the Jopen 6.5 is four vrooms. If someone believes that the hitachi charts off the scale at 7 vrooms, then I think the 6.5 is a worthy 5 vrooms. Does that makes sense? Depending on how you rate your vrooms scale, this is how the Jopen 6.5 lines up. The bottom line is this vibe should be able to work for everyone except those who can only achieve orgasm through wands like the hitachi.

The Jopen 6.5 is waterproof. It has a resealable port to keep water out of the toy. It can be submerged in the bath. I refer toys that are completely sealed with a magnetic charger, but I'm paranoid. The Jopen works well in the shower/bath.

The instructions say the toy takes up to 4 hours on its first charge. Mine took around 2; that was when the light when off. A reddish light appears when the Jopen is charging and goes off when it is done. The battery life is acceptable to me. I can get at least 1.5 to 2ish hours in a charge. I tend to charge my 6.5 after about 3 uses because I never want it to die on me.

Care and Maintenance

Care for the 6.5 is a breeze. Being fully waterproof, you don't have to worry about water getting into the toy during cleaning. Soap and water is tried and true, but you can also use toy cleaner or wipes if you like. Dry the 6.5 with a lint free cloth once it is cleaned. Being silicone, the 6.5 does collect lint. However, if you keep it in its pouch, this can be greatly minimized. If any fuzzies collect, you can always wipe the toy down before use.

The 6.5 comes with a pouch perfect for storage. Only use water based lubricant with the 6.5.

Packaging

Packaging for the Jopen is nice. I've seen better, but I can't complain. It comes in a clear plastic bag to protect the box. Then the box opens from lifting the lid at the top. Inside, you'll see the toy resting in a cardboard/card stock mold to hold it in place. Below that you'll find the pouch, charger, a bookmark shaped piece of plastic highlighting the features of the 6.5, and a booklet showing all the other Jopen Vanity products as well as some instructions. The instructions are simple to understand and comes in multiple languages. The box is tasteful but not quite discreet since the toy is on the box.

The box is not a "have to save" box, but you can use it to store other toys if you wanted (that's why I kept my leaf boxes). The pouch is quite large for the Jopen. The 6.5 and charger easily fit with room to spare. I'm also able to store some of my favorite clitoral vibes in their pouches inside the Jopen pouch. The pouch is perfect for long term storage. This toy would make a badass gift.

Experience

Anyone on Eden worth their salt knows the hype over Jopen. The Vanity line is toted as one of the best. It's one of the most recommended and heralded toys. So, ever the curious one, I decided to see what it was all about. The thing is that the Jopen Vanity line has many toys to choose from; almost so many that it's a daunting task. There are 20 toys in the Vanity line. Fifteen of them are rabbits.

So how do you go about selecting your first Jopen rabbit? There are a few ways to narrow the list. This can be with price-point, insertable length, and shape of the clitoral attachment. While all Jopen toys in this line are on the pricey side, the Jopen Vr 10, 10.5, 11 and 12 are over two hundred dollars. They, along with the 5, 7, 15, 16, and 17 have longer insertable lengths. There's nothing wrong with a longer toy, but if you want to reach the clitoral attachment sooner, you might want to consider smaller toys or ones with certain clitoral attachment shapes. Some Jopen toys have animal shaped attachments, most don't. As you can see, a lot can go into determining which one is right for you.

For me, I wanted a toy that had a very large and prominent clitoral attachment and was on the smaller side. This left me with the 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, and 6. From there, the 6.5 seemed (to me) most likely to please the majority of clitorises.
