Vanity Vr6.5 - rabbit vibrator by Jopen - review by chicmichiw

Put simply, the Jopen Vanity Vr6.5 is a rabbit. But it's really not that simple -- everything you may have heard about the Jopen line is true and then some.


The Vr6.5 is, in my opinion, one of the more anatomy-friendly rabbits out there. The narrow angle between the two arms means that your clit will still be stimulated no matter how deep you penetrate with the vaginal arm or how far or close your clit is to your entrance, since it varies so much between women.

Even though I'm so blown away by the 6.5 as a rabbit, that's not the end of its uses if you get creative. Vr6.5 could be used an anal toy, since the clit arm could be used as a stop; its non-porous silicone outer makes it easy to clean between uses and certainly share-able between partners.

You could also simply use this toy as a clit stimulator, but that's not its best use. Plus, I find that I love the feel of its organic curves as a penetration toy, so I can't stand to simply use it outside my body!

Since the 6.5 is also waterproof, you could take it anywhere. I used to be suspicious of that DC jack, but now that I have a number of toys with that charging style, I assure you, Vr6.5 will perform anywhere you want it to.

My first impressions coming out of the box -- PURPLE. It's a truly shocking shade, right in between pink and purple. I think it's a really impressive fuschia, so even though Jopens don't come in alternative colors, I don't mind at all.

The Vr 6.5 is 100% silicone, covering the entire toy, even the buttons. It's a gorgeous, matte silicone that feels mostly firm, though the tips have a bit of give to them. Both arms are insanely flexible, not just in the same plane of the toy, but in all directions.





Out of the box, Vr6.5 had no smell or taste -- just gorgeous, smooth silicone with no texture on the vaginal arm or on the clit arm. Both arms do, however, have some organic curving and waving. This is especially noticeable upon penetration of the vaginal arm, but it's not extreme.

The Vr6.5 is surprisingly small. My first rabbit was an enormous CalEx bunny rabbit, easily as long as my forearm, heavy, bulky, etc. The Vanity line is totally different -- what a welcome change! It's ergonomic, lightweight (though it feels solid in the hand, unlike say, Je Joue's Mimi) and the slightly abstract, organic curves of the toy are at once pleasing to the eye and don't scream 'sex toy'. I think it looks like a gorgeous sea plant, even down to the color.


The bulbous end is perfect for fitting into the hand and can be used at an angle that's familiar to women pleasuring themselves; but it also works as a great grip if you wish to use it on a partner. The buttons are in easy reach with your thumb; you just have to remember that the top button (closest to the arms) is for the vaginal arm while the bottom button (closer to the rounded end) is for the clit arm.

I love the dual motor feature -- it really makes the entire toy stronger, more customizeable in 'feel'.

Even though it's a crazy bright color, the Vanity vr 6.5 would be easy to overlook in a messy girl's room. Like, say, mine. The small size makes it non-threatening yet the tapered tip makes it easy to insert. The comfortable bulk of the vaginal arm, however, may surprise you -- but the girth is downright delightful

The Vr 6.5 uses a system that's unlike some other toys -- you must click to turn on the toy; then click and hold to reach higher levels of power. The button will flash or blink at you to tell you that it's going up in power (and you'll feel it). A single fast click will turn the toy off. When you reach the highest level of power, the button will stop blinking at you, though you're still holding it.

Obviously, you can't go back down to lower levels, if you like to switch up the intensity of your play. There are also absolutely no patterns -- just 7 settings of increasing, steady power. This is not a flaw in my book, as I never use patterns, really and I'm pretty single-minded when it comes to using toys.

As I mentioned before, both arms contain a motor that is independent of the other. Each has their own indicator light.





The charging port also has a light to let you know that it's plugged in. Vr 6.5 charges in about 4 hours and gives back 4 hours of play, even being used mostly on high settings -- which is phenomenal.



The Water Test:
So everyone has seen the 'put a vibe in water' trick and it looks impressive. However, I realized that you can see the frequency of the toy based on the ripples it makes in a fairly shallow bowl of water. Smaller ripples mean a higher (buzzy) frequency, while larger ripples mean deeper (rumbly) frequencies. More water movement in general corresponds to higher power, it seems. I tried this on all my toys!

The Vr6.5 is very easy to clean, since it's waterproof and 100% silicone. I simply immerse it soap and warm water. The area between the arms must be paid some special attention, but it's not an onerous task. When drying the 6.5, it's important to dry the crevice between the arms thoroughly as well as around the DC jack port. On the bottom of the handle is some raised lettering that may merit some attention, but it's pretty far from the 'action', so I doubt it would get very dirty.

As the Vanity Vr 6.5 is silicone, I recommend using water-based lubes. You could use an oil-based lube if you don't plan on using condoms. You could also use a premium silicone lube of high quality -- and always do a patch test if you're in doubt. I personally wouldn't use any silicone lube, high quality or not on this expensive a toy.

I've heard some complaints about Jopen's storage, but I personally think it's rather nice. Vr 6.5 comes in a white, smooth, cardboard box that simply has a pink 'V' and Vanity printed on it. It's smaller than a shoe box. It's not particularly hard, though your 6.5 is stored in an elevated way on the inside and fairly securely -- I don't worry about the toy knocking around inside it.


Inside, the 6.5 sits in a paper insert; under the insert is a place to store the charger, manual and storage bag.
