Vanity Vr6.5 - dual action vibrator discontinued by Jopen - review by hillys

The Vanity 6.5 is a rabbit style vibrator. It has two vibrators, one in the shaft and one in the clitoral arm (both can be controlled separately!). It's designed for internal use while having external stimulation as well. The shaft is curved so it can be felt on some g-spots. The clitoral arm is flexible but sturdy and can reach most clitorises. Some have mentioned that it works well for anal use, but I have not tried using it in that way.

I think this is a good toy for beginners because it is really easy to hold, you can separately control both motors, and its shape will most likely hit one or both of your good spots. It's also an average-sized toy, however, the shaft is a little wide, so you'll need to be a little warmed up for use. I would say it's mostly for solo situations, but couples can use this toy on each other. It's waterproof, so feel free to use it in the bath or shower!

The Vr 6.5, like all other Jopen Vanity vibrators, is made out of soft, smooth silicone (its safety rating is a 10). It is non-porous and hypoallergenic, as well as latex and phthalates free, and I didn't notice any odor on this toy. With the right care and sanitizing, this toy can be shared.

All silicone feels a little different. This silicone feels a little more draggy than the silicone on my Uma but less draggy than my Leaf (lube can easily fix the drag problem). However as far as a lint magnet, I think it collects more than my other silicone toys. Remember to only use water-based lubricants with this toy since it is made of silicone (as silicone lubes can ruin silicone toys). This toy has no texture, which makes it a good toy for beginners or those who prefer no textures.

The shape of this toy is really difficult to describe. It does not resemble a penis at all, but people will most likely still be able to guess what it is used for. The whole vibrator is a gorgeous purple. Sometimes it looks dark, but in the light, it looks halfway between pink a purple. My basic description of the toy would be that it has two rounded parts that look like elongated leaves or ears connected by the round, bulbous end with the controls on it. Both attachments have the same shape, but one leaf is much bigger than the other one. They are long and curved to one direction, toward the front, and then have a tip almost curving back (almost like half of a wave). The small one fits in the big one's curve very well. OK, that is the best I can do with the description of the shape. I will say this about the shape though: the curve hits your g-spot and helps the clitoral vibrator stay in contact with your clitoris even while you are moving the internal one. The shape is pretty effective.

Many have described the size of this toy as small, and I'd have to partially agree because it is a little short, but I do not require large toys. The whole length is around 7 inches with about 5 inches being insertable. The width of the internal portion is actually a little large - 1.5 inches at the widest. The clitoral arm is 2.5 inches long with a lot of surface area made so that you can stimulate your clitoris on most of it. The length and width of this toy make it average-sized and perfect for beginners. It could also possibly be stuffed in some luggage for travel (and it can be locked - I just figured that one out). This toy is also super flexible but firm enough to stay in place. You can move both arms quite a bit, which allows the clitoral arm to reach the clitoris while you are moving the internal portion. However, it wants to stay in its original form, allowing it to apply pressure.

This rechargeable toy is pretty powerful. Keep in mind: it does not have any patterns (but the controls are so easy that it's OK that they didn't make it complicated). The controls are located on the front of the base. The bottom button controls the shaft, and the top button controls the clitoral arm. You press one button at a time, and then press and hold to increase the vibration. I can’t tell how many levels of vibration it has because it slowly increases while you hold down the button (neat huh?). When you turn your toy on, the red light will come on, and it will then blink when you change speeds. The buttons are really easy to press. The vibrations are deep and rumbly, and the high ones are pretty powerful (4.5 vrooms, although I think it's the most powerful toy I own right now). Oh, I just remembered. You can lock it by holding both buttons at the same time, and then unlock doing the same thing.

This toy is also completely waterproof, so you can scrub it down or take it in the tub. As far as sound goes, it's a pretty quiet toy for how powerful it is. I wouldn't suggest using it in the room with someone else there (although show me a toy you can actually do that with), but maybe with some music on you could get away with that. Since this toy is rechargeable, you don't have to use batteries. You just stick the charging cord into the toy and plug it in. I usually just leave it for a few hours and then come back. I only charge it every 3-6 uses (just in case...I'll never let it go dead), so I think it has quite a few hours of use in it.

When it comes to cleaning, the 6.5 is really low maintenance. Just clean with water and soap before and after use. It’s waterproof, so you don’t need to worry about getting moisture into any charging ports or anything. Since it's silicone, it can also be sanitized in a 10% bleach solution (and then it's OK for sharing). Because of the motors, I would obviously not boil it or put it in the dishwasher. Just remember to only use water-based lube with it.

As for storing, I store it in the box it came in because it has a nice cut-out shape of the vibrator itself and a place for the battery below it. I would store it in the bag I got it in, but the bag is super big, and I feel the charger always gets tangled up in it, and the vibrator is not as protected.

This toy came in a white cardboard box with the purple V logo on the front, toy info on the back, and the name of the toy on the sides. When you open up the box, the toy is held in a cut-out of itself. If you lift that part of the box, the charger, a big black drawstring bag, and some more information are inside. I think the box has a nice place for storing the toy, and it's sturdier than the bag, but that is just my preference.

I really like this toy, but I have to be in the right mood to use it. Sometimes it can get me there in less than two minutes, but other times, it might take longer. Play around with it; see how you like to move it (rocking it works pretty well for me). Steadily increase, or start high on the vibrations. It's really easy to use, and when I don't feel like putting in too much effort, this is an easy way to get the job done. I also love that it is flexible, yet firm (gives a little leeway, yet not too much). Its flexibility in the clitoral arm lets me reach my clitoris, and I’m pretty sure the g-spot is being hit by the internal curve (but I’m still learning about that).
