The Hitachi Magic wand was originally made to be a body massager. Intrepid users found that it could be used for so much more. It is for external use only. I use my Hitachi solely for my pleasure. I can use it during sex, but it seems to do more harm than good because I can't get it exactly where I want it to be. I would say that unless you are using it as a body massager, the Hitachi is best used solo.

There are attachments that can be bought so that the speed can be gradually increased instead of simply being on or the other. I would describe the high speed as- OMG OMG, I think my clit just fell off. It is not a speed that I am going to use often. I really feel that it would have a numbing effect on me.

The vibrations are centered on the head but can be felt over the entire wand. I think the best thing about this wand is the power it has. The only problem that I have is that it only has 2 speeds. The controls are definitely easy to use. There are only 3 states of power to choose from; off, low and high. This wand is electric and therefore,NOT WATERPROOF.

It is recommended that you only use this product for 30 minutes or less to prevent overheating of the motor. I don't have a problem with this because it took me less than 10 minutes to orgasm from using the Hitachi. If you need more than 30 minutes to get off with the Hitachi, then you a "Clit of Steel" and I suggest looking elsewhere for stimulation.

This toy is very simple to care for. I use antibacterial soap with water or a toy cleaner after each use. I wrap the cord up and just put it my toy crate. I have heard of some people just leaving it on their nightstand. I recommend using water based lubricants with this wand, if you even need to use lube. When placing this toy near others, to be on the safe side I would let them touch. It is simply too nice of a toy, to take the chance that it could be harmed.

The toy came in a simple box that had several pictures of people using the wand on different parts of the body; like the arms, back, shoulders and legs. There were instructions as well as warranty information in the box. The box can be used for storage since it is pretty sturdy. If you were giving this as a gift, it would be very easy to simply add some wrapping paper around the box.

I honestly don't know how I had not picked up this toy before. It was a glaring oversight on my part. It is a quick and easy way for me to relax and even works well on my husband's sore muscles. I call that a Win Win in my book.
