Kissed by Cupid

The Cupid Kiss is lovely pink treat for those looking for a girthy vibrator with a variety of settings. It is waterproof for those who like to take their toys in the tub or shower with them. The Cupid Kiss also has some textured ripples along the body that provide extra stimulation. The only down side is that it is not made from a more superior material, I would have much rather seen it offered in pure silicone rather than TPR silicone.

Use

The Cupid Kiss is a G-spot, multi-function, waterproof vibrator from Shaki Toys. It is designed to be able to stimulate the G-spot, but can be used all over the body. You could tease your nipples, your clit, your partners penis, you can rub this vibrator over any of your erogenous zones. The Cupid Kiss is not safe for anal play as it does not have a flared base to prevent it from slipping up into the rectum, doing so could lead to a very embarrassing trip to the ER. You can use the Cupid Kiss alone for some solo loving or you can incorporate it into your play time with a partner. Also as it is waterproof you can use Cupid in the shower or tub. The Cupid Kiss is a bit on the girthy side, so those who prefer a slimmer vibe may want to pass this one up. It also it has a fair amount of texture to it.

Material / Texture

There has been a bit of a debate on what the Cupid Kiss is actually made from, as on the packaging that the Cupid Kiss comes in it list the toy as 100% silicone, while the Eden Fantasys' product page list it as TPR silicone. I am going to trust Eden Fantasys' assessment of TPR silicone. You could flame test the Cupid Kiss if you were brave enough, a fellow reviewer even did. I like my Cupid Kiss so I have not flame tested it because I do not want to damage it.

silicone

TPR Silicone rates a 6 on the Eden Fantasys' safety scale. TPR silicone is a silicone based rubber compound, it is hypo-allergenic, latex free and phthalates free. However TPR silicone is porous unlike 100% silicone which is non-porous, so if you are going to be sharing this toy it is advised to use a condom as it cannot be completely sanitized between uses. The material is a very light baby pink color. The TPR silicone is very soft and squishy, the toy does have some give to it. The head of the toy will be flexible so if you need firm G-spot stimulation this may not be your best bet. The shaft of the Cupid Kiss does not flex but the TPR silicone is still squishy there, the internal structure of the toy keeps it from being flexible. It also has a bit of drag to the material so I have found that I do have to use lube with this to use it comfortably. I have found that this toy picks up lint and hair a lot, so washing it before and after is a must. I also take care to store it in a way that it will not be exposed to excess lint because it sticks to the toy so well. Being it is made from TPR silicone you can only use water-based lube with this toy as silicone-based lubes could damage the surface of the Cupid Kiss. It did have a bit of a rubbery smell to it when I first received the toy but after some washes I do not notice it unless I purposely sniff the vibrator.

For those who enjoy texture on their toys, you may be very pleased with the Cupid Kiss's ripples. There are eight asymmetrical ripples that extend from the base up towards the head. They are quite pronounced and can be felt easily during use. The ripples are bunched together towards the back side of the vibrator and extend and flare upwards and spread out on the side of the vibrator with the G-spot head.

Design / Shape / Size

The Cupid Kiss is a large vibrator. I have found that it is quite girthy and took a considerable amount of warming up to be able to insert it all the way. Overall the Cupid Kiss is 7.5 inches long, 6 inches of that are insertable. At it's widest point it is 5.5 inches in circumference and about 1.5 inches in diameter. The head of the Cupid Kiss is angled for G-spot stimulation, at the very tip of the toy the head is 4 inches in circumference. The head of the vibrator does flex a bit, so if you need firm pressure on your G-spot you may not be satisfied with this toy. At the base of the toy is the battery compartment which is made from plastic with some TPR silicone inlay-ed in it which makes helps grip the toy. At the bottom of the base will be a single button to control the vibrator. Because of the large size of this toy I would not recommend it for a first vibrator, or for those who prefer slim vibes.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Cupid Kiss is powered by two AA batteries. It has eight different vibration patterns for you to choose from, four are steady vibrations and four are patterned vibrations. There is a diagram on the back of the package that shows you the different vibration patterns.

vibration patterns

There is a single button on the bottom of the Cupid Kiss that acts as both the power button and the button to switch between vibration settings. Pressing down on the button once will turn the vibrator on and repeated pressing on the button switches the pattern up. In order to turn the Cupid Kiss off you must cycle through all eight vibration settings, then after the eighth pattern, pressing on the button will turn it off. I dislike this power down function, I wish that I cold hold down the button to power the vibrator off. If you are switching through patterns getting close to the big O and you are at the end you may accidentally turn the toy off instead of switch to a different setting which could be just enough of an disruption to distract you from your big finale.

Overall I find the vibrations that the Cupid Kiss puts out to be quite powerful, if I could rate it 4.5 vrooms I would as it is not quite 5 vroooms but I think it is a bit more powerful than just 4 vrooms. For as powerful as the Cupid Kiss is, it is on the quiet side. You could use this behind a closed door and no one on the other side would be able to tell what you were doing. On the higher settings you may be able to hear it through a blanket depending on how thick your bedding is. I was pleased with how little noise the Cupid Kiss made.

Care and Maintenance

The TPR silicone that the Cupid Kiss is made from is porous unlike pure silicone, so if you plan on sharing this toy between different users you will want to use a condom when playing with it. To clean you will want to use warm water and anti-bacterial soap or your favorite toy cleaners. Be careful in storage that you do not stack the Cupid Kiss against any of your other soft or silicone toys as they could melt together and ruin everything. I use the box that the Cupid Kiss came packaged in for storage between uses, but you could use a toy pouch, a sock, or a lint free piece of fabric to wrap the Cupid Kiss in. Being that TPR is a silicone based rubber compound, the only lubricant you can use with this toy is water-based. Silicone based lubes could bind with the surface of the toy and ruin it.

Packaging

The Cupid Kiss packaged in plastic clam shell inside of a printed cardboard box. The front of the box had a window showing off the Cupid Kiss. The back of the package had two panels that butterflied out to show another window you could see the toy through and panels with information about the toy. I really liked that the different vibration settings were diagrammed out on the package so I know what to expect from the toy. There were some discrepancies on the packaging, first as we already mentioned, the package list the Cupid Kiss as 100% silicone which it is not. Second the package repeatedly refers to the Cupid Kiss as a mini vibrator. This vibrator is huge! I do not know where the 'mini' description is coming from, because mini it is certainly not.

Personal comments

I have been very pleased with my Cupid Kiss vibrator. It took me a while to be able fully insert it as I am fairly new to insertable sex toys and the Cupid Kiss is large. There are a few things I would change about the Cupid Kiss if I had a chance; first it would be nice if it was 100% silicone instead of just TPR silicone, and second that pesky power button. I much prefer vibes that can be shut off by holding down the button for a few seconds. I don't mind one single button for power and switching patterns as long as it's more user friendly to turn off.
Follow-up commentary
While Cupid doesn't get as much use out of me anymore, when I do use the Cupid Kiss I still really enjoy it. I reach for this toy when I want something that is really going to fill me up and as I am getting better at being able to find my G-spot this toy has worked well for stimulating it. I'm glad I got this free for signing up for the news letter!

I seriously love all the photos you put in this review; they're all helpful in molding my opinion about this toy, especially the one that shows the different vibration patterns ( also, your tape-measure is adorable! ). The power button functionality does sound like it sucks, though :/ I agree they could've done better with it. Thankyou for the awesome review!
