My new BFF.

The Inspire is a small and lightweight hand held massager that has some serious power. Simply put, this massager may even be better than the Hitachi.

extremely useful review
The Inspire from the Couture collection is an awesome little personal massager. It's very similar to the iconic Hitachi massager, with a couple of wonderful differences. The great things about the Hitachi are included in the Inspire and the negative things about the Hitachi have been improved on. I hate to compare this product so much to another product, but it seems to me that the Inspire was made to be a newer, smaller, more modern looking, updated version of the Hitachi.

The Inspire is small at 7 1/2 inches long with a 5 inch circumference on the ball head. It's very light weight, about 13.5 ounces. The inspire is just over half the length and less than half the weight of the Hitachi making it easier to hold and control the massager.

As with the Hitachi, the Inspire has a flexible neck between the handle and the ball head. The flexibility makes for a fantastic neck and back massage. Unlike the Hitachi, the Inspire has a removable silicone cap on the ball head. The removable caps makes cleanup a quick and easy task. Simply pull the cap off and wash with antibacterial soap or toy cleaner and rinse with warm water. Wipe down the handle with a damp cloth or toy cleaning wipe when needed.

The Inspire has an 8 foot cord. When you plug the cord into the handle of the massager a red light comes on to let you know that power is reaching the toy. The Inspire has to be plugged in to function. The cord is removable from the toy, most toys the require plugging in do not have removable cords.

The controls of the Inspire are super easy. Press the one and only button and the vibrations will turn on. Hold the button down and the vibrations will climb in intensity. When you reach the speed you want let go of the button. To turn it off just click the button once. The toy does not have any set speeds to cycle through, it just climbs up until you let go of the button or until you reach the max speed. The Inspire has very strong vibrations. Maybe not as strong as the Hitachi on high, but still very strong, maybe too strong for some people.

Like the Hitachi, the Inspire is pretty loud. You will easily hear it through a closed door when it's on the highest setting.

The Inspire can be used with water based lube only.
Follow-up commentary
I heart this toy. I just can't express how small yet powerful it is. I keep this little cutie up front and ready in my toy box and I reach for it more than any other toy. You will not be disappointed.

Great review. For the price, I still wish the packaging was better. It makes me sad. I still want it though. Love the Hitachi comparison.

Thanks Mistress Kay! Yeah the packaging was a little lame, but this massager is so small you can easily get a toy bag to hold it and the cord.

My Hitachi is too strong for me, so it does not get a great deal of use. I guess this one would probably be as well. I don't know why I keep looking at these type of vibes! I am also considering the Accuvibe or one of the Fairy Wands.

I wanted to mention that it is possible to remove the white plasticy sleeve covering the head of your Hitachi to clean it (you briefly mentioned that the Inspire differs from the Hitachi in that its sleeve is removable). It drove me nuts that I could not clean my Hitachi head thoroughly. Then I read some information online where it was asserted that the sleeve actually was removable and I set out to figure out how to remove it for beter cleaning. It was hard to do the first time as it fits snugly, but once I got the hang of it, it became easier. Despite having removed the sleeve several times for cleaning, it has not stretched out due to removing it. It still fits the head of my Hitachi snugly and does not slip off (but I don't exactly just rip it off carelessly and stretch it in the process either!). The sleeve has a light foam lining inside it, so I always leave it out to dry thoroughly before pulling it back over my Hitachi's head, even though I try not to get it the foam wet, to the greatest extent possible, by holding it a certain way under running water (opening side down, so that the water pours over the top of it and down the sides).

Yikes -- sorry this is so long!

The main difference is that this toy has multiple speeds, so if you don't need the super strong vibrations, you can turn it down. I would say on high the Inspire is like the Hitachi on low. This is really one of my favorite toy, I love it!!
