Nine in the Afternoon.

I have been struggling with this review for weeks now simply because it always leaves me speechless. I have trouble with the right words to describe how much I love this toy. The Vr9 provides two different yet strong vibrations, it is waterproof, and it has two different ends. This has become a staple in my sex toy collection. I finally know that this type of shape does wonders for my G-spot, and I am left with quaking thighs every day I use this. It is luxury at its finest.

Use

The Jopen Vanity Vr9 is an amazing double ended G-spot vibrator. That being said, the G-spot curves will not fit everyone's anatomy. Even though there isn't a flared base, the toy is definitely long enough to insert either end safely into the butt. Just be sure to leave enough space for your hand to always have a nice grip. The curved ends and powerful vibrations could provide some intense P-spot stimulation.
For those that are not really into insertable toys, the Vr9 provides some amazing rumbly and buzzy vibrations that feels wonderful on the clit, nipples, and the outside of the anus. Because there are two different types of ends and two different types of vibrations, this toy really has something for everyone.
Not only is this vibrator a symbol of variety, it also is waterproof and rechargeable! Yes, it has a high price tag, but oh man is it worth it! The waterproof and quiet features make this toy my top choice for those who have roommates or are living in dorms. I know what it is like to only have privacy when I take a shower, so absolutely feel free to take this toy in the tub or shower as long as you want. This vibe would make a perfect toy for beginners. The overall design is very whimsical and not intimidating at all. However, I think this toy is a little big for traveling. If you don't mind the extra bulk or you have extra room in your suitcase, then I say go for it. Personally, I would much rather take a small and compact clitoral vibe.

Material / Texture

Vr9 is made out of the drop dead gorgeous silicone that the Jopen toys are known for. It is a rich and vibrant purple color. I see this color, and I automatically think of royalty. Silicone is one of the safest materials for the body. It is non-porous, latex/phthalates free, and hypo-allergenic. The silicone that covers the entire Vr9 and other Vanity toys is smooth and velvety, but it has a lot of drag. It collects lint and pet hair like crazy, but it never feels sticky or tacky. The charging port and buttons are raised, and although the toy is virtually seamless, my Vr9 has a slightly raised seam that runs all along the middle of the toy. This vibe arrived with absolutely no taste, but it had that new silicone toy smell. It was a very light smell, and it was only noticeable when the toy was right underneath my nose. It went away quickly after the first cleaning. As with other silicone toys, use only water based lubricants with the Vr9.
The two ends are very firm because that is where the motor or bullet is. The smaller end has a little flexibility to it where the neck or shaft is the most thin. The larger end has no give to it at all.

Design / Shape / Size

If you are a fan of curvy and double ended toys, the Vr9 is definitely for you. After my lovely run in with the Smooth S shape, I knew that the Vr9 would give me nothing but pleasure. It is exactly like the Smooth S shape except it vibrates. Oh, how it vibrates!
The small end has a defined, circular shaped head that can be compared to the small end of the Smooth S shape and either end of the Pure Wand. Even though this bulbed end is where the small bullet is located, there is a tiny bit of give. I think that this plus the flexible and thin shaft really prevents this end from catching on my pubic bone. While I am thankful for the flexible shaft, it can cause issues when using it as a handle. It also lacks the pressure that some will need in order to gain a G-spot orgasm. The one thing that I have to say is that even though this is the smaller end, I find that the angle of the bulbous tip can be a little difficult to insert. I find it easier to hold the toy at an angle so that the tip just slips in. Then bring the other end down so that the tip will curve into the G-spot.
For those that love a more stretched and filling G-spot experience, do not panic because the large end of the Vr9 can also be used. It vibrates as well. Again, this wide and thick end is pretty much identical to the large end of the Smooth S shape. Unlike the smaller end, I cannot get any part of the head or shaft to bend, flex, or give. This is my favorite end. When using this end for thrusting, this is when the smaller end can cause issues. The flexible shaft can bend (not necessarily buckle) at the most annoying times, which can and will cause the user to slow down on the thrusting. I do not have any problems with either end catching on my pubic bone.
The overall size is personally not ideal for traveling. However, it is easy to hide in the oversized pouch that comes with it. If found, the artistic design doesn't scream sex toy, but that doesn't mean that it is the most discreet either. It may still be embarrassing, but I would be more embarrassed if my parents or little siblings found a huge realistic cock in my dresser drawer.

Functions / Performance / Controls

With two ends, the Vr9 also has two different vibration types. Both ends are powerful, but the smaller end is quite buzzy while the larger end is more rumbly. The deep throbbing of the larger end makes it feel even bigger to me. With the Smooth S shape, I am happy using either end. When it comes to the Vr9, however, I much prefer the large end. Even though this toy is close to perfect, there are some issues. When using the small end for thrusting or as a handle, the small neck can bend. If the vibrations of the small end are on when this happens, the vibrations tend to either diminish greatly or quit altogether. The flexibility of this end really sucks when using it during heavy thrusting. Not only does it bend, but it causes the user to slow down the speed of thrusting. The great news is that even though this toy brings down the house with its powerful vibrations, it doesn't get super loud. It produces a maximum of 2 bees, which can easily be drowned out using a T.V, fan, or the sound of a shower running. Keep in mind that the Vanity toys do not have vibration patterns. All they have are steady vibrations. Since I usually don't use any setting except the highest steady one, I am perfectly okay with the lack of patterns.
The Vr9 works just like the Leaf vibrators. There are two raised buttons located in the middle of the toy. The button closest to the small end makes the small end vibrate, and the button close to the large end makes the large end function. Both buttons are controlled by a press and hold system. To turn either end on, press the button and that end will start vibrating on the lowest setting. To increase the vibrations, press and hold until it reaches the desired level. When pressed and held, a red light will flash and will glow steady when the highest level is reached. There is no way to decrease the vibrations. To turn it off, quickly press the button, and the red light will turn off. The Vr9 does lock for travel. Simply press and hold both buttons down until the red light disappears. This should take about 3 seconds. To unlock, follow the same procedure. If I am ever brave enough to travel with a toy of this size, the Vr9 will definitely be my first choice because it is so easy to lock for travel.
The little raised circle located on the opposite side of the buttons is where the charger will need to be inserted in order to charge the toy. The charger may be a little difficult to insert at first, but with a little effort, it should glide in easily enough. When the Vr9 is charging, the buttons will glow a bright red. This light will turn off when charging is complete. After removing the charger, the silicone will seal the charging port back up, which makes this toy completely safe to take into the tub.

Care and Maintenance

A simple cleaning with antibacterial soap and water will do when it comes to taking care of this toy. A toy cleaner, spray, or wipes can also be used for a quick clean up. Even though it is silicone, I don't recommend boiling or sticking it in the dishwasher as it could melt and damage the wires and such that are located on the inside. If sharing with a partner, I still suggest using a condom just to be on the safe side. Because the toy collects tons of hair and lint, storing it in the provided drawstring bag that comes with the toy is a smart and clean idea. Again, only water based lubricants should be used with the toy. Silicone lubes can degrade the material.

Packaging

When it comes to the Vr9's packaging, I have definitely seen worse. For the high price tag, however, I kind of expect something more luxurious. It comes in this white cardboard box that says the name of the toy on the front and has a picture of the toy on the back. It isn't discreet, but at least it is somewhat classy. The cardboard is on the thin side, so I do not see it being a great option for long term storage. The top pulls off to reveal the Vr9 nestled in a cardboard cutout. On top of the toy will be a thin piece of paper that lists all of the toy's amazing qualities! Underneath the cutout that holds the toy are the charger, Vanity toy manual, and the really large storage pouch.
The pouch feels satiny and silky, and it does not give off any extra fuzzies. The pouch is super big. I can fit both my Vr9 and Vr3 plus the chargers for both in the pouch with room to spare. I usually use this pouch to carry any toys and lubes when traveling. This way, I can be sure that they are all in the same safe place.

Experience

After every passing day, I am more and more positive about what shape works best for my body. That shape can be found in the Smooth S shape and Fling Ergonomic Two Finger which are both by NobEssence. My hubby prefers to use vibrators on me, but I like dildos better for G-spot stimulation. Since the Smooth S shape was such a hit with us, I decided to dive in and buy the Vr9. Both have the same fantastic shape. However the Smooth S shape is very rigid, lightweight, and easier to thrust with. The Vr9 has powerful vibrations though. It really depends on what I am craving. If I was using the Vr9 solo, I would most likely use it as a clitoral vibe. Since my hubby knows how to thrust perfectly for me, either one is fantastic to use during foreplay and couples play. I don't really prefer one over the other because both are such high quality toys, and both make me feel like I am pampering myself. Just call me Queen Buttercup!
