Vanity 9 are you the one? Part 4 in my Jopen experience.

The Vr9 is a dual ended vibrator in the Jopen Vanity line that is whisper quiet and waterproof so the possibilities are endless on where you can use this toy. It has a one year warranty from the first day of purchase.

Use

The Jopen Vanity Vr9 is a luxurious silicone toy with dual motors designed for ultimate pleasure. As I've mentioned in other Jopen reviews, the Jopens pamphlet claims their line is ergonomically designed for the natural contours of a woman. I consider this to be varied from woman to woman because our anatomies are different. If one design works or doesn't work for one woman doesn't mean that it will or won't work for you.

The Vanity Vr9 is such a versatile toy that it is a wonderful vibrator for beginners to advanced users alike. You can use this for internal or external stimulation. You can use it to gently tease and stimulate whatever erogenous zone that you prefer. It can be used solo or during couples play. I use all of my toys solo, but if you were using it with a partner, they could insert it for you.

It is 100% waterproof so you can take it in any water setting that you please such as the bath, shower, hot tub, swimming pool, or lake.

It does not have a flared base so I would not recommend using it anally. If you are an experienced anal user, and decide to use this anally make sure to keep a firm grip on the Vr9.

No matter which way you plan on using it, the Vr9 is a nice toy to have in your toy box.

Material / Texture

The entire Jopen Vanity line is made out of silicone which is a 10 on the Eden safety scale. Silicone is a food grade material and is considered to be non-porous, hypoallergenic, latex free, and phthalates free. It also maintains-retains body heat well and can be easily sanitized. The silicone has some to drag to it, but that can be easily fixed with some water based lubricant. The silicone has no smell to it at all. The silicone is quite the debris collector.

There is a small vertical seam that runs down the toy that can be visibly seen, but can't be felt while in use. The silicone is very smooth, soft, velvety, and does not have any additional texture to it. It is best suited for those who enjoy smooth toys and is not best for those who like texture to their toys. The small end is flexible at the smallest section of the toy, but the ends do not have any give to them because that's where the motors are located.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Jopen Vanity Vr9 is not quite like anything I have seen before especially in sex toys. It reminds me of the letter S when I look at it. It has a curved small end with a slightly thicker head on it, a curve, and then progresses to a large end that I use to grip. The large end fits nicely in the palm of my hand.

Here is a comparison photo of it against other Jopen toys I own to show the various designs and sizes of each. From left to right is the Vr9, Vr8, Vr2, Vr6.5, and Vr3.

As you can see, the Vr9 is the longest of the Jopens that I have. If you measure from end to end it measures 10" long. If you measure along the curve it measures 11" long. At the smallest end it is 3 1/2" around. Directly under the small end measures 2 1/2" around. The shaft at the small end measures 2" around. At the two buttons it begins to gradually increase in size and measures 2 3/4" around. At the charging port measures 3 1/4" around. At the larger end, it starts out 4 1/4" around and is 5 1/2" around at its largest. Regardless of which size you use, the Vr9 has sizes for everyone. I prefer the smaller end inserted because I like smaller toys in general, but have been recently experimenting with larger toys.

It is very easy to travel with because it has a travel lock feature so it won't accidentally turn on during use. To unlock, hold both buttons simultaneously for four seconds. To lock, repeat this process. Due to its larger length, you will have to carry this in a bag instead of a small purse.

Although the ends aren't phallic shaped, it looks like a sex toy to me. I think if you're familiar with sex toys at all you will be able to recognize this as one. If discretion is important to you, I would make sure to keep this out of sight.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The controls on all of the Vanity's are very nice because Jopen uses independent push button controls to control the seperate ends of their toys. On the Vr9, the controls are easy to use and are located on the top of the toy in the middle. The buttons audibly click when pushed. If you are looking at it with the small end facing up, the top button controls the shaft and the bottom button controls the larger end. To use the VR9 is very easy, all you need to do is press it once to turn it on and continue holding the button down to go through the levels of vibration for increasing power. To turn it off just press the button again. I like that it has a quick turn off button in case someone walks in on you. Jopen is unique with their buttons, with any Jopen I've encountered in this line you continuously hold the button down until you reach the highest setting. A red LED light will flash showing that you are progressing through the speeds. The light will become solid when you have reached the highest vibration level.

It does not have any patterns of any kind which I think is fantastic because I've never cared for patterns in my toys and prefer strong steady vibrations. If you are one to like patterns, you will not find that in any Jopen Vanity toys.

All Jopens have a Lithium Ion rechargeable battery that has a complete charge in four hours, but the first initial charge only takes three and a half hours. Fully charged, it can give you up to three hours of play, but that depends on what setting you are on and if you are using both motors simultaneously so results will vary. It gives no warning when the battery is about to quit, it just turns off. Sadly, I had this experience in the middle of things with one of my Jopens.

The small ends power is not as deep as the large end. The vibrations can be felt in your hand and that is just about as far as the vibrations travel. If you turn both motors on at the same time, the power from the larger end does not transfer some of the vibrations to the smaller end like I have experienced in the Vanity 2 and 8. I would consider the small end to be a good 3 Vroom. The large end is more rumbly and deep than the smaller end. I would consider it at its highest to be a high 4 Vroom. I compare all of my toys to Uma in strength and I don't consider this to be as strong as Uma. I was not able to orgasm with it because I have to have Uma strength when it comes to power of my toys. However, if you compare the 9 with the 8 I would consider both large ends to be the same amount of rumbly. The smaller end on 8 is more rumbly than the 9's smaller end, but neither is as deep and rumbly as the larger end.

The charging port is located on the back of the vibrator a little bit away from the push buttons. There's a small circle indention where it plugs into the vibrator like the Bedroom Kandi lipstick vibrator or any other Jopen toy. To charge, plug the charger into the recharge port and plug into a power source. A red LED will glow indicating that it is charging. When fully charged, the light will turn off. The charger is a little over five feet long. All Jopen chargers fit any Jopen toy so that's nice that they're interchangeable. I just keep one charger in my lingerie drawer and have the extras in a shoe box.

All Jopens are completely waterproof and have not failed during testing. The vibrations did not become weaker in the water which was fantastic. The hole for the charging port creates a bubble that stops water from seeping in ensuring that it is waterproof.

The 9 is a very quiet toy and can't be heard through thin walls or through closed doors even with both motors on the highest setting. I'd consider the 9 to be a 2 Bee on the highest setting with both motors running and virtually quite at lower settings.

Care and Maintenance

As with any waterproof toy, clean-up is a breeze. You don't have to worry about submerging it or carefully cleaning it. The lack of texture ensures this toy wipes off very easily. You can wash it with anti-bacterial soap and water, your favorite toy cleaner, or wipe. You can also use a 10% bleach solution to sanitize it. It does tend to pick up lint like crazy so make sure to clean before and after every use. I'd dry it with something that didn't contain a lot of lint or let it air dry.

As with any silicone toy, it is best to use a water-based lubricant. If you have to use silicone based lubricant, please spot test first to make sure there is not any reaction with the two like materials.

With the proper care silicone can even be shared among partners, but please make sure to thoroughly clean it between partners or if you're switching orifices.

Packaging

The Vr9 came in a plain white cardboard box wrapped in plastic. The front has a V in purple as well as the product name in smaller letters. The back features a picture of the 9, company information, and some product features. Included were the charger, toy, storage bag, and Vanity product catalog. The toy sits in a raised cardboard cutout specifically designed for its design. The black drawstring storage bag has Jopen written on it and is wonderful. It can hold the toy and charger easily with extra room for wipes and lubricant if you wish. You could also choose to store other toys in the bag if you wish. The bag is very large and the choices are endless. The insert that features all of the Vanity toys shows a brief diagram of where the motors are located, and give a little bit of information about the line. There's also a clear insert similar in size to a bookmark that displays key point of information about the product in bullet style.

Personal comments

Jopen has a one year warranty for their toys from the first day of purchase. They also have an optional ten year warranty to further protect your investment. Once registered, you will receive information on the optional 10 Year Replacement Program in your registration confirmation email.

Experience

I consider all of the Jopens that I have tried to be highly crafted toys, but I haven't found the perfect design for me yet. I really like the unique design of the Vr9, but the power is just not enough for my picky body.
