Opus - music for your g-spot

This is a toy worth buying simply for its high-quality design, great vibration patterns, and well-thought out shape. It can be used on/in/around anything you want vibrated and teased, and is particularly well adapted to G-spot simulation. I personally wish it was a bit firmer, but that is simply personal preference.

Use

This is a toy for any experience level - it's easy to figure out, only has two buttons, and will vibrate anything you put in on/in/around. It's clearly designed to hit the G-spot and does a pretty good job doing so, but as the official Opus ad shows, you could really use anywhere you would a normal vibrator - I personally enjoyed the fancy vibration patterns on my clitoris, for example.

Material / Texture

On of my favorite parts of this toy is the texture - it's a silky silicone with a velvety feel that just screams high quality. The only downside of the texture is that lube is a must (water-based only!), but that's just something you should expect with silicone toys. I didn't notice any taste or smell other than the expected new-toy smell, but I expect that will fade with time and wasn't terribly noticeable to begin with.

I also really like the material they used for the battery compartment - it's a more matte plastic with raised buttons so you always know what to hit.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the design of this toy - it's pretty, and well-shaped to boot. The curved end hits the g-spot, and the other side hits the clitoris (if you line it up well enough), making double-orgasms a real possibility. All of that having been said, I do wish it was firmer. The silicone is semi-bendy, which allows it to fit a greater variety of bodies, but it means that you have limited leverage if you want to really put pressure on your g-spot, which I personally like doing.

In terms of general size, it isn't a particularly big toy (which is common among g-spot toys), but I wouldn't consider it detrimental.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibration patterns on this toy are definitely reason enough to purchase it. Although the stronger (!!) vibrations tend to get noisy (4/5 bees while the lower vibrations are 3/5 bees), they are well worth it. Modes 4-8 are perfect for teasing, while 1, 2, and 3 provide constant orgasmic experiences.

The controls are easy to find (there are only two buttons, after all!) and easy to use - one's a power button and one flips through the modes. The only downside is that the mode button only goes through the modes one direction, so if you want to go back to a prior mode, you have to go through the whole list again.
    • Easy to use
    • Multiple settings
    • Strong patterns

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is incredibly easy to clean, although because of the battery compartment, you can't boil or dishwash this particular toy. That having been said, toy cleaners work well, and silicone doesn't trap smells like some materials can.

Storage is a breeze with the included packaging (described below).

Note: Use water-based lube only.

Packaging

The packaging of this toy is impressive, to say the least. It includes a white box with a magnetic lid and two sliding drawers, one of which securely holds the Opus and one of which holds the accessories (which include a purple storage bag if you don't like the drawer, sample lube, sample toy cleaner, a purple silicone cock ring/band, and thorough instruction booklet).
    • Good for storage
    • Very informative
    • Would make a nice gift
