Swirls of... What, exactly?

I'm thankful this toy was free. It really isn't worth $26.99, since the vibrations are extremely weak, and everything is so fussy! I wouldn't waste my time with this if I hadn't gotten it as a gift, and I don't recommend it for anyone.

Use

When released, EdenFantasys gave this away as a free gift. I am very thankful it was free, to be honest.

The Petite Flowers is certainly a beautiful piece, in its defense. You can use it for just about whatever you want in the bedroom (though not anally, the handle isn't big enough for that!), which is a nice change from a lot of the vibes I've collected. While not exactly a go-to toy, it's certainly nice for when you're feeling exotic. This toy has a rather nice shaft, with nearly six inches of insertable swirls.

I'm not sure if this was intended for internal use, since there's a bullet in the tip. You can use with both silicone and water based lubricants, which is awesome, since it's waterproof. However, I'm not sure I'd put much merit into that claim. I've been nervous about bringing this into the shower with me, since the control pad is finicky enough as is!

Material / Texture

The Petite Flowers is, like I said, BEAUTIFUL. It's made of TPE, a plastic blend that's not as porous as most flexible toys, but is still more so than silicone. It's very flexible, which is a big plus since the bullet is in the tip. This toy is swirled from control pad to tip, and has these beautiful flowers raised across.

While I didn't notice a taste in the material, it does have a slight smell to it. It isn't very noticeable, but it smells kind of plasticy. For me, this is not a bother, and I don't think it would be to anybody else, either.

The flowers make this toy enjoyable for any level of user, and add some interesting sensations.

Design / Shape / Size

I was really excited to get this toy, mainly for the sheer beauty. I actually didn't notice in the pictures that there was a bullet in the tip. This threw me off at first, since the toy is rather shiny all on its own. When it finally came, I marveled at the beauty in real life! I love this design. It's extremely feminine (hence, "By women for women", right?) and easy on the eyes.

I still haven't figured out if this is supposed to be meant for internal or external use. I'd imagine (since it's flexible) you could use it to hit your G-Spot, though it didn't do it for me. However, it works extremely well for external stimulation. The flowers make it pretty nice to stimulate just about anywhere.

The size, luckily, is not intimidating. It's rather thin, and not extremely long, making it a good starter vibe for beginners, and something different for more seasoned users. It's not very travel-friendly though, or discreet. Probably more of a toy you'd keep at home, for rainy days.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Petite Flowers is a multi-speed vibe. However, I found that the control pad was extremely finicky. After the chaos of figuring out the batteries (no instructions come at all, and it's a total guessing game), the pad didn't want to turn! Not to mention, if you push too hard, the vibe itself completely turns off. To fix this, you have to turn the control pad back to the beginning, and start again. I am not amused.

Although this vibe is flexible, the vibrations do not travel well. The bullet in the top is where pretty much all of the vibrations are centralized. I'm not sure if it's the material, or if it's just not a strong enough bullet, but they simply do not travel. To me, this was a huge let down. I was excited for something flexible, in hopes that I could find more than one use for it. Sadly, nothing. This toy quite literally doesn't do a thing for me.

Although the box says it's waterproof, I'm not really willing to test that. With the control pad already being as bad as it is, and with the way the flexibility can (and often will) move the battery compartment a bit and turn the vibe off, I'm not willing to risk it. Such a shame, this would really have been more fun in the water. The only redeeming factor of this vibe is that it's extremely quiet, which is probably from the lack of oomph.

Care and Maintenance

TPE is more porous than silicone, but less porous than other materials, such as cyberskin, rubber, and I'd go as far as to say sil-a-gel (another popular toy material). That being said, always use condoms when sharing. Porous nature harbors all sorts of nasty bacteria. Do not want!

When cleaning, do not (and I really mean this) boil. And when you submerge, make sure that the battery cap is tightly on. Use warm water and a toy cleaner, or even mild soap. I would not suggest anti-bac soap by any means. Ever. Also, use a lint-free towel, or let air dry.

Since TPE is still kind of like a rubbery sort of texture, be careful of how you store it. It's like a MAGNET for dust, fur, hair, etc, and you really wouldn't want to fight that all the time.

Packaging

The box that they sent the Petite Flowers in is really pretty! It's gray, with a groovy font choice, and a cut-out of where you can see the toy. There is some information about the toy on the box, such as the battery type, the hygienic seal, etc. But damn it, there is NO information about the batteries. It took forever to figure out how they go in! Poor choice on behalf of Doc Johnson, really.

Follow-up commentary
This toy has been a huge disappointment for me. It completely stopped working after a couple of uses, and it melted! Definitely glad it was a free gift.

Thanks for the review... I'm surprised-- I have the G-spot Sunflower and it works wonderfully, even in the shower, and I didn't have any problems with the turn-dial controls.

I would have appreciated it if you would explain how to put the batteries in, especially since you said there were no instructions.
