Do you need it totally quiet or dark when you sleep?

I used to only be able to fall asleep with the TV on, and my partner could only fall asleep with it dark and totally quiet in the room. It drove me crazy for a while but then I realized I sleep better that way. My mom still likes to fall asleep with it on though.

Constructive discussions on Quiet vibrators:

What makes quiet vibes so quiet?
I see all these really strong vibrators ( and even own a few ) yet they are just SO quiet! Does anyone know what needs to be done to make them quiet?.

Do you have "quiet times" when you don't really care what's up, just shut the whole world out?
Other than my OnlyMaster and O/our lil mutt I often do so, and it is incredibly relaxing... What about you?

Beginner needing quiet vibrator
Hey I want to buy my first vibrator, but I live in a dorm with three other girls and have very thin walls. Even though we are all girls here I would.

Strongest, Quietest Vibe You Know Of?
Hi everyone! I have what some might call a clit of steel, so I prefer vibes with four or five vrooms, yet I also live in a college dorm, so it has to.

Is there such a thing as a quiet rumbly vibrator?
I've been on the hunt for a small really rumbly vibe that doesn't wake up the whole house. I have quiet a few clit stimulators and all of them are...

I need dark and white noise, usually a fan. The white noise keeps me from hearing all the tiny little house sounds and cat sounds that would keep me up otherwise.

Hubby calls me a vampire because I love it dark. I used to be obnoxious about noise but now I keep a small fan on to drown out noises. I still get up at most medium to loud sounds though. I don't usually even bother going to bed until everyone else is asleep.

I have a hard time sleeping regardless of my environment. When it's loud or bright, that can make it worse, but it's not a dealbreaker.

TV, music, or something has to be on for me to fall asleep - it's hard for me to fall asleep if it's completely quiet. I prefer it to be dark, but it doesn't have to be.

It has to be really quite for me to fall asleep. I am used to falling asleep in the morning, so I'm fine if it is a little light, as long as the sun is not shining directly into my eyes.

I used to need it totally quiet and dark but then I moved above a very loud/rude person and learned to sleep with the fan on. I still need it dark though

I need it dark and quiet almost all of the time. However, I have a "trick". As long as my environment is consistent, I can sleep somewhat ok. So if the tv is on and turned down low, I can fall asleep though I wouldn't sleep well. *Shrug*

I can sleep anywhere in any situation, and sleep through lots of noise. I sometimes leave my light on when I sleep just because I don't want to get up to turn it off.

I use a face mask & earplugs, plus an air filter which provides white noise. With the earplugs & face mask, I can sleep anywhere.

It depends on how sleepy I am. If I'm really tired, then I can sleep with the TV and lights on; or else I need it to be really quiet and lights dimmed.

We both like a little bit of background noise - be that the air filter, Netflix, or whatever else. Totally dark and silent makes it very difficult for me to fall asleep!

I can't get my bedroom very dark at the moment, and I think it is affecting my sleep. City noise doesn't bother me but the lights do.

We sleep with the TV on, turned down kinda low. I can't shut my brain off if it's too dark and quiet and I have to drown the baby monitor out atleast a little bit or it keeps me up instead!

My partner and I have trouble with this, too! If I could, I wear my sleep mask and ear plugs every night. I get ear infections if I wear the ear plugs too much, though, and the silk sleep mask works great but sometimes slips off. I'd love to have the house fan on for white noise, but it dries out her sinuses. And now that the weather is warming up, we have the window open at night...even more noise! Argh.
