I'm not much for lube but everyone seems to like Maximus.

Mood Naughty Small

Mood Naughty Medium

Anal Beads

Ophoria Beads

I have yet to find me a decent vibrator for anal. I won't make a recommendation for that, but all of the above are made of Silicone.

I agree with the Maximus. It's fantastic, as long as you don't have chemical sensitivities to parabens. I love my Maximus!

My first plug was Pleasure Pearls and I love them!

Bootie was my first butt plug, and I still love it. Here I explain why. It has a long base similar to that of the Mood Naughty that was also suggested on this thread, but I think it is a lot better. This is because the bulging tip keeps it in, so it's also great for long term wear!

Don't have any recommendations for beads, but as far as lube goes, JO H2O is your best bet. They have a variety specifically made for anal, and it's great. Water-based, thick, and long-lasting.

That's obviously my usual post, but I stick to it

If you want to get into the anal play area with comfort and ease I guess the best thing is to start with smaller dildo like the:

Blush UR3 Anal Starter

or a silicone alternative:
Sedeux Please

To grow up I'd suggest:
Pure Skin Player jr

The silicone alternative is:
VIP Super Soft

For Butt Plugs:

The best training of all times (after you grow out of the beginners toys):
Triple Ripple

Best Butt Plug (I guess many will agree):
Ryder

And finally my personal favorite among plugs:
Gapers Organic

Generally speaking that's my product advice. For lubes you have to look for yourself what suits you more. Just don't use silicone lube on silicone toys, it really kills them. The rest as usual, hygiene, foreplay, foreplay, lube -> and plenty of fun

I second the recommendation for the JO H2O lube. This one has been very good to me!

For lube I am a devotee of Maximus. Sometimes I will use Pjur or Boy Butter depending on mood or the material of the toy.

The safest materials are silicone, steel, glass. My opinion of comfort goes in that order.

I don't know too many of the beginner plugs, however, graduated beads may be a good introduction. You can go at your own pace with them and take as much or as little as you want. link

If you have been studying up on anal I'm sure you know, but I always like to say it... take it slow and have fun. Anal can be so good until it's rushed.

Enjoy!

For toys: start with fingers until you know you like anal enough to want to invest in silicone. Don't waste your time with jelly or TPR - they're more difficult to take care of, impossible to clean, and have short lifetimes.

Sliquid Sassy Booty is a great anal lube, because it's thick and made of natural ingredients.

Probe Thick and Rich is another choice that's good if you're sensitive to lube chemicals.

I love Maximus for everything. For a lesser investment, but to see what you think of plugs in general, try the Love Pacifier. It was my first plug. There have been some complaints of the seam, but I never found it to be a problem. If you're willing to spend a little more, get the Bootie, and use that SPARKLE coupon on the main page to take a couple bucks off. You will love it forever!!

I like Sliquid H2O Ride "Dude Lube" for anal play. (They have changed the formulation of this lube since my review, but it's still a great lube.) It's thick and doesn't contain glycerine or parabens like Maximus and and Probe do. I know, it's for anal, but it can get messy and when you're a woman, lube can drip down (especially if you are on your belly) and get near or into the vagina. I avoid parabens and glycerine like the plague.

I agree with Scott to play with fingers to start out with. You can get black Nytrile gloves for a good price at that place named after a South American River (Eden doesn't carry Nytrile gloves) if you worry about bacteria.

I like the Love Pacifier, too. The Crystal Cote is a nice plug to start, if you want a finger shaped toy.

Sassy Booty has become our go-to for anal play too after trying a fair few of them. We haven't tried Maximus but will probably give it a go at some point.

Try a butt plug. There are plenty of smallish silicone plugs out there and they are the simplest toys out there.
