Good alternative to Hitachi?

I had a rechargeable mini fairy wand, but last week it ended up breaking, and now I'm desperately looking for a similar type wand massager. I've looked at a couple, but I'd really like some input on which massager people are recommending. Thanks!

I have 3 wand massagers that I use at times. There are things I love and hate about all of them. The hitachi is the most powerful one, but it is so loud! The Wahl 2 speed is also great. It is the quietest and I love how rumbly the vibes are! But none of the attachments are quite right for me. If I could only have one wand I would get Inspire. It has a button that you press and release when the power is at your desired strength. In stead of just 2 speeds like the hitachi or the wahl you have control over how much power you want to use. The Inspire has a detachable silicone head. My complaints are that it gets hot after about 20 minutes, at at the higher speeds it gets pretty loud. Your toy was rechargable, but the wands I listed all plug in and have more power. Good luck with your replacement!

Ooh, thanks! Yeah, the rechargeable wands tend to get really hot too, plus it would die after 20-30 minutes, so I needed to stay near an outlet at all times. Noise isn't really an issue for me (at least not right now). The one I had before had an adjustable wheel for vibration intensity, but to be honest, I always turned it all the way up and never changed it, so maybe I don't really need adjustable speeds.

I've never tried any of the detachable heads. Are they worth buying?

My issue with wands like Inspire is the power cord. It's an adapter that plugs into the end of the massager. Every time I get one like that it stops working after 2-3months of use. Because if you use it and the cord bends at the end it slowly cuts of electricity to the motor. Then you have to start wiggling the cord to get it to work and finally it stops. I've had this happen to me with three different wand massagers. I love wands because they have intense power, but I can't get one to last long enough.

In addition to the Hitachi, I own a Wahl and a Fairy Mini.

I flat out don't suggest the Fairy Mini. The cord is short, it sounds like a jet engine, the vibrations are buzzy, and they travel through the handle. I leave it at home to use if I'm super desperate.

The Wahl is EXCEPTIONAL! It has a shallow setting, a deep rumbly setting, and is surprisingly quiet for how powerful the vibrations are. In my review I compare the noise level to an old air window air conditioner. Aslo, it comes with seven different attachments and most offer pinpoint stimulation. That said, neither of these are comparable to the Hitachi. I'm sure that's disappointing to hear, but it's true.

The Hitachi will not wine and dine you. Although the vibrations are not as rumbly as the Whal's, they are stupidly powerful. I can booty call my Hitachi, wham bam thank you mam, then two minutes later throw it back in a drawer. Also, the Hitachi is much more conducive to partner play. With a head similar to your Fairy Rechargeable, my boyfriend can place the Hitachi anywhere near my clit and I will orgasm. The Whal is so rumbly and the attachments are so pinpoint, they will most likely cause more ouch than orgasm wielded by a partner.

That is my opinion from the toys I own. Outside of what I've tried, many reviewers love the Mystic Wand Rechargeable. Reviewers suggest it, porn stars suggest it, and it's just damn adorable. If you choose the Mystic Wand, many people suggest buying a Tenga Egg for the head because the ridges can be uncomfortable. Most closely related to your Fairy Rechargeable is the Body Wand rechargeable.

Good luck, that's my two sense.

Buy the Hitachi.

I don't have any of the hitachi attachments. The only reason I don't is because I hesitate to use it often because of how loud it is. There are a few I think look good and might get when my kids move out. I like that the hitach is so popular that the attachments are avalible for someday. If noise level isn't an issue for you, and the avalible attachments appeal to you go with the hitachi.

It looks like you're getting lots of good advice here!

A Mystic Wand of some kind, maybe? It's the only wand-style vibrator other than the Hitachi that I've used, but I like it. It's top speed is nearly as powerful as the Hitachi on low, and it's infinitely better-looking (and easier to use, since it's smaller). It has patterned vibrations as well, which a lot of wands don't.

I have the Mystic Wand, and it was too powerful for me, so it got repurposed as a shoulder massager. It might get repurposed again, though, because there's a g-spot attachment for it now. Too strong externally should be amazing internally, but we'll see.
