Falling in love with Sapphire Falls

The Sapphire Falls is sold as an anal probe, though it could just as easily be used vaginally. Keep in mind though, if you use the toy anally, you must wash it, or even better -- sterilize it -- before you use it vaginally.

When using it anally, be very careful about how far you are thrusting it in. While the base is large, it isn't flared, so use caution. You wouldn't want it to get lost inside of you.

If you are using this toy vaginally, be very careful about how hard you thrust it. Glass is hard and unforgiving, and if you thrust too hard, you could bruise your cervix, and nobody wants a bruised cervix!

It is made of Pyrex glass that has been colored an absolutely beautiful blue. Seriously, when this baby catches the light, you'll be amazed. Glass is a totally smooth material, and has no drag when lubed up.

The appeal of the toy is its stacked ball texture. The entire toy is made of balls stacked on top of one another, three small balls, then three medium sized balls, and a large ball on the bottom.

Glass heats up and cools down very easily, which makes it wonderful for temperature play. This toy can be heated in warm water, or cooled down in cold water.

The shape of the probe is perfect for anal play. When liberally lubed (try saying that 10 times), the six bulges feel wonderful when gently thrusted in and out. The smallest three balls are curved upward to help with G-spot stimulation, though the curve was not pronounced enough to aid in hitting my G-spot. The length of the probe is roughly 6 1/2 inches, with the insertable length being between 5 and 5 1/2 inches, depending on which end of the probe you insert first. I found the length to be more than enough for anal play, but lacking slightly when I used it vaginally.

For G-spot stimulation, the toy fell short. However, when used for anal play, it felt amazing. When the balls popped in and out, the sensations were unlike anything I had ever felt! The only complaint I have is that the G-spot bend in the toy was not pronounced enough.

Pyrex glass is strong, but far from indestructible; try not to drop it onto hard surfaces. It might be wise not to use this in the shower, although it is 100% waterproof, for risk of slippery hands dropping it onto the shower floor.

Cleaning couldn't be easier with glass. Lubes wash off very easily with warm water and antibacterial soap, and it can be sterilized in boiling water, a 10% bleach solution, or on the top rack of the dishwasher.

Speaking of lube, glass is compatible with all lube types: water based, silicone based, oil, or whatever other body safe slippery concoction you use for lube!

The probe comes with a drawstring bag for storage. It's made of a velvety material, and it is too thin to offer the glass any protection. I do store the toy in there, though, just because I didn't have the heart to throw it out.
