I wasn't a huge fan of these. The most annoying part is really the rope. You would have to machine-wash these to really get them clean. Soap and water works okay, but rinsing out all of the soap suds takes time and then you have to lay it out to dry. It's not the type of toy you could leave out without someone noticing and questioning you about it. So, that was an issue.

Also, I didn't think these were the most convenient toy to use. Lubricating the balls can get messy. Plus, there is a big gap of rope between the balls. Inserting them or reinserting them seems like it would be easier with the stick kind, where they are all on one stick made of the same material.

The materials are fine. I didn't think the rubber balls had a weird smell. The rope seems durable and wasn't that uncomfortable, as long as you don't yank it out the wrong way. But I wasn't that confident about the knot-work that kept the balls and the ring on the rope. I feared that the last ball would get pulled off the knot at the end. Maybe this is just me being paranoid, but I would rather use a toy whose pieces can't come off inside of me.

Honestly, I only used these a couple times before giving up on them. They felt nice, not great, but it wasn't worth the hassle. They were messy to use and hard to keep sterile. They were also hard to dry considering you can't leave them out where someone will see them.

I haven't tried it myself, but I would imagine that the stick kind of anal beads is better. If I were to get another pair, I would try that kind and not this string kind again.

I still don't like the rope, and I never use this toy. It is just too hard to use, and I think a rigid set of beads on a wand would be much easier to control and clean.
