To manipulate the toy, you slide thin thin 'neck' of the toy between your fingers, so it looks like the dildo is emerging from your hand curving slightly toward your palm. A teardrop shaped base rests behind the fingers on the backside of your hand. This works in a very similar way to a palm harness, however this toy rests over your fingers. While a harness is the only way to ensure that the toy will never escape your grip, the handle of this toy felt very secure, even if your hand is lubed.

I tend to hold the neck between my ring and middle finger. While the position of the toy in your hand and the toy's curve work great in doggy style, I found that the easiest and most comfortable way to hit my prostate was to lay on my back.

Users may also find that they can manipulate the toy by grabbing onto the 'balls' section of the base, although this becomes tricky if that portion is covered in lube, as the material becomes extremely slick. Gripping the balls might also be the most comfortable option for playing with your partner, however.

The description also lists it as microwave save, but I would be extremely careful using this option, and in temperature play you always must be very careful the temperature is not too hot. Another huge bonus of the material is that the toy has no taste, and only a slight rubbery smell that disipates over time. While the toy does have a bit of 'give,' it is fairly firm when compared to other materials, another factor which should lead beginners to look elsewhere.

Unlike many of the smooth silicone products in my collection, this one has a matte finish. However, with an appropriate amount of water based lube, the material becomes amazingly slick. It also seems to attract a bit more dust, but I wonder if the bright blue color just makes the dust more visible.

I will also second other reviewers' comments about imperfections in the material. There were a few small bubbles visible on mine as well, but all of these were at the base, not on the shaft, so it did not bother me too much. There is also a visible seam running down the middle of the toy's shaft. While you can feel the seam with your finger, I could not notice it while playing. The seam along the base was also a bit jagged.

The interesting design of the handhold was quite frankly what drew me to this particular toy. I was looking for thrusting options, and this fit the bill perfectly. Aside from a palm harness, this toy might be the most secure option out there in terms of grip.

Although from the toy's stats the size does not look very too intimidating, the raised section of ribs almost right at the tip makes insertion a little more interesting, since there is very little flare to help you ease your sphincter muscles open. Therefore I would recommend this toy for those with some experience, although users who can take a 1.5in plug should have few problems. When I first began using this toy I used another toy to warm my ass up so I could focus on thrusting with this toy instead of insertion. With a width of 1.25 inches and and an insertable length of 4.5 inches, more experienced users might want an option longer or thicker.

The toy does tend to me a bit wobbly, both from the curve and the increased weight at the head, but I did not find this to be a problem.

Overall, this toy is an interesting option if you're in the market for a probe, and if you can live with the size of the toy. The ergonomic design of the handle makes the prove feel almost like a natural extension of your hand. This design makes holding the probe so easy you can totally focus on the experience rather than maintaining a good hold.

This design might make the toy slightly less versatile than other probes/dildos, since there is no hands-free option.

As stated above, care of silicone is very easy, and you can disinfect the toy by boiling it for three minutes or by placing it in the top rack of your dishwasher. Water and soap/toy cleaner is always an option.

As always, silicone lubricants are never compatible with silicone toys. Look for a good water-based lube to use with your silicone toys. In the long run, silicone's durability and safety make the slightly higher price and switch to water-based lubes well worth it.


Since this toy does seem t attract dust, I would recommend storing it in somthing. Luckily Topco takes care of the issue for you, as the Handmaiden comes with a fairly nice draw-string satin pouch in shiny silver. I've found this pouch to be entirely adequate, and this is a definite bonus for the product.

While I wanted to rate this toy a 4 based on my experience using it, the imperfections knocked it down to a 3. The other main factors in this rating decision were the fact that you could only hit your p-spot in certain positions,and the fact that the toy might be too wide for beginners, but not long enough or girthy enough for pros.

However, if the description seems to fit what you are looking for, I would not hesitate to recommend this toy.
