I wanted to write this review immediately after the first time I used Handmaiden . . . but instead I chose to shower and let myself calm down. I decided to use her a few times to make sure the first time wasn't a fluke. All I could say was - OH F**K, yeah! This is the best anal toy I have ever used up to now.

Handmaiden arrives nicely packaged in a no frills plastic shell and nice shiny gray storage pouch - she's easy to extract and use immediately. You must use only water based lubes because the Handmaiden is made of silicone. Previously I had always used the light water based lubes - but with Handmaiden I learned that the thicker ones work best. Not only do they stay in place, but they seem to help everything click better. So far I have only used Ride by Sliquid.

It took a bit of relaxing on my part and more that the usual amount of lube, but I figured it would be worth having this toy inside me. Indeed - it was the best feeling I'd ever had come from my back door; so good that words cannot do it justice, and I am struggling to convey all the thoughts and sensations I had. Handmaiden left me feeling full but not uncomfortable.

Moving the toy in and out I soon learned what angle was best to hit my p-spot. I tried several positions and found that just about every one allowed to appreciate what Handmaiden had to offer. I tried slow thrusting, medium thrusting, and then super-fast thrusting. I felt myself getting closer and closer to orgasm without having once touched my cock. My breathing got heavy and my heart raced, and my body went nuts at the thought of my first anal orgasm.

Alas, it was not to be. I think I tried too hard, my arm got tired, and my body collapsed with the pressure of trying to force an orgasm that takes patience and practice. I have tried a few more times since and have gotten ever close to that p-spot orgasm that I want so bad, but I still need more practice. I have tried such vigorous thrusting (which felt fucking amazing!!) that I'm taking time to let myself calm down, and trying to prepare myself mentally for when I bring Handmaiden out of my drawer again very soon.

The silicone used to make Handmaiden is not quite as smooth and defect free as some of the other toys I have. While this is this is really nothing to detract from her appearance or performance, I did feel it was worth noting.

For anal newbies: be aware that Handmaiden is not large, but is definitely larger than something you should be using if you've never had something up your ass. I would strongly suggest using a toy with a smaller diameter until you become comfortable with the sensations involved and the amount of relaxation that you need. Trying to force something inside of yourself will lead to intense pain and you could cause harm to yourself requiring medical attention.

My level of experience is moderate. I started with a former girlfriend's finger, then anal beads, then a small dildo, then the Aneros Helix, then various other toys - this is the second largest toy I've ever used.

I still like this toy very much. Unfortunately, I still haven't had the prostate orgasm that I've been reaching for. However, I still recommend it to anyone looking to explore anal play and like it as much as the day I first tried it.
