A-bomb - butt plug discontinued by Tantus - review by Schmitty

The Tantus A-bomb is a stand-out among butt-plugs. Its superior quality in material (medical grade silicone), molding, and texture make it worth every bit of the $70 I paid for it at a local shop. I see it's available for just over $40 here on Eden; oh well, sometimes you just can't stand to wait on the mailman.

The packaging is a typical clear plastic (PETE) box and contoured insert. The glossy appearance of the packaging actually disguised the fine, silky texture and high quality of the plug itself. The deep red color is also very pleasing to the eye. At approximately the size and dimensions of a medium pear or large avocado, its weight is also considerable and gives the impression of a firm and durable tool.

On my first experience with this toy, I lubed it up with an oil-based product (better for extended wear) and worked it in. This process was slightly more of a (pleasant) challenge than I expected being a relatively advanced anal player - with adequate warm-up I can take my own man-sized fist. But with a little coaxing, the A-bomb slid into place and settled nicely, giving a fantastic feeling of fullness, depth, and p-spot pressure.
The best part of this is getting over the hump or past the widest part of the plug. As with most plugs, the anal muscles actually do all the work on this "downhill" side of the insertion process; your body "pulls" the plug into place. With the A-bomb, because this point of maximum width is midway down the plug rather than 2/3 of the way, and it tapers more gradually toward the neck, there's a longer, slower, and deeper stroke to this final pulling-in which feels exhilaratingly automatic and uncontrolled. Use plenty of (non-silicone) lube and allow yourself to clench down at this point to maximize the effect.

For extended wear, the A-bomb is fantastic! The more gentle curve at the base of the plug allows more in & out oscillation while walking than with a more rounded plug that might be wedged into place by a teardrop shaped base. The curvature still remains securely in place and never made we worry that it might slip out or all the way in.

Another reviewer commented on discomfort from the abrupt edges of the base and I experienced this slightly, also, mostly when sitting and as a result of my cheeks being pinched between the base and my seat. The same reviewer updated to say he had been able to smooth these edges down, but I've not heard details of how, perhaps by shaving or sanding. At any rate this small discomfort is hardly significant relative to the overall pleasure of the experience.

After popping this bad boy in, I ran a few errands. Walking with it in, I became aware of an added involuntary swing in my hips that was helping the plug wiggle around in-place and putting an equally involuntary grin on my dumb face.
