If you're on the fence about anal plugs, I don't know what I can say to convince you, but the Moon Shine is definitely the epitome of classic plugs. Perfectly shaped, beautifully crafted and delightfully filling—the Moon Shine has it all!

The glass is pretty enough, but the blue and brown swirls throughout make the whole thing quite artsy. I love how the glass feels cool to the touch, but it could easily be warmed up for those who desire that. It retains cold or heat for ages. The pyrex also makes cleanup easy as it's completely sterilizable, and the Shine has survived scrubbing with dish soap and boiling with no ill effect. The fact that it's usable with any lube is also a plus. The glass feels very solid and unlikely to break, and has definitely warmed me up towards pyrex toys in general. The only thing that remotely compares in quality and ability to clean is silicone, and toys of this type are almost always many times more expensive and much softer. If you're as new to glass as I was, consider giving it a try!

This toy has the classic plug shape. Overall it feels quite nice—the stem is long enough and the contours keep it where it should be—but the nose is a bit blunt and it might be tricky to insert for some. I'd qualify the size as on the large side of average. Add the fact that glass has no give to it and I'd warn beginners away from this toy completely. My boyfriend (who isn't interested in this sort of play) also gamely tried it out and summed up his review as "Ow." But if you've had some practice and you want something a bit filling, this is a great size. I've used this toy solo and during intercourse and the sensation was definitely awesome. The one downside was that my partner noted he could feel the (very cold) broad base of the toy on his balls, but that's not a big deal as far as design problems go. The Moon Shine even comes with its own cloth carrying bag (if that sort of thing is a factor for you) in case you don't feel like setting it around your house and telling people it's modern art.

This has, since purchasing, become one of my most-used toys. It's a great plug and I still highly recommend it!
