Love taps the heartbreaker - paddle by Evolved Novelties - review by js250

The Love Tap is a playful novelty that is fun when play-fighting with your partner. Be sure you each have one, or your butt is going to have marks on it, not that I would know. (Yeah right, he is 6'4" and muscled up, I am 5' 2" and still getting my muscles back.)

This is a great gift item, cute car mirror decoration and a crappy real sling shot. This toy is non-sexed, great for everyone regardless of gender. I would recommend it to beginners who are thinking about spanking. Intermediate and advanced users would probably not be interested in the Love Tap as a toy. When used in a playful manner to joke around with your partner, give as a gag gift or game prize or just for fun would be the only reason I could see anyone over a beginner to purchase and use this.

The Love Tap looks like an odd Valentines Day decoration, a funky bracelet or a little girl's pirate eye patch.

It has a 2" diameter red heart, which is very stiff, in the middle of two 3" elastic bands. The heart is actually two pieces of stiffened vinyl, looks like pleather, that has been sewn over the elastic band.

Each band has a loop sewn into the end for finger holds. The back of the heart has two small, thin plastic clips sticking out, which is the finger grip for your other hand. The elastic band holds them into the heart.

To use the butt sling shot, you must place the heart close to your partner's skin, make an "L" with one hand, pull the clips back and let it fly. The idea is to leave a red heart-shaped mark where it landed. The reality was just a red blob. The sting is reminiscent of being 'towel snapped', it delivers a bit of a sting but fades fast.

I think it is kind of cute, but wish the quality was a bit better. The stitches came out of one elastic loop the second time it was pulled back. My clips broke off after the fourth use and we just decided to quit while we were not ahead.

There is a very faint vinyl chair smell to the heart when you put it up to your nose. I am not going to taste it, but would assume the taste is not desirable.

This would make a good short term gag gift, get you out of the doghouse bribe or like I said earlier - a girl pirate's eye patch! This would be a great prize or gift at a bridal shower, Valentines party, adult toy party or other adult related event. If you remove it from the package, you can even give it out at other events.

The Love Tap worked okay when it was all together, but was flimsy and broken the first time we played with it. I does look a bit cheap and is lacking the quality material and stitch work that could have made it a great toy or gift. It is a novelty, goofing around type of item the way it is currently constructed. I was a bit disappointed, I was hoping to get another one and have little heart wars.

The sting was definitely felt, but it did not hurt unless you were surprised. Then the sting caught up to you a bit but was in no way overly painful. It did not cause welts, and the red mark went away within a couple of minutes.

I ended up pinning it to the visor in my truck, but did use it as a rubber band just prior to that, I tied my ponytail back with the cute toy. I really want to see this used as a kids costume piece! A heart-shaped little pirate girl's eye patch is so perfect for the look of this novelty.

I wiped the vinyl with windex and poured rubbing alcohol on the elastic just to test it. It lost a smidge of color but was not damaged. It can be stored anywhere, actually, I was planning on keeping mine either in my purse or pocket.

I personally would have given the Love Tap a 2 stars for a rating, but really like the costume and gift idea. It could have been a fun toy to tease each other with, but needs a bit more help. I do feel other people might really like this and gave it a four. It does have its use, just not for me.
