Use

This is a very basic harness, a convenient kit. It's less expensive than many harnesses. It is a great choice for those new to harness play without a huge investment, but you may want to anticipate the purchase of a nicer harness down the line. More experienced users will be disappointed. The dildos included are simple and uninspired and too small for vaginal use for most women, but are small enough to be less intimidating for anal beginners. The vibe included is strong but small and not terribly exciting.

Material

The kit features a velvet and nylon harness. The velvet feels somewhat cheaply made, but it's soft and has held up to moderate use and multiple washings. The nylon straps are scratchy and dig into your hips while worn. The plastic slides on the straps that are used to adjust the straps also press uncomfortably on your hips. There's no reason it couldn't be used in water but the velvet part would probably get waterlogged.

The dildos included with the kit are both solid silicone with flared bases.

There is a small metal bullet vibe that fits into a pocket in the harness.

Design / Craftsmanship

The harness is velvet with nylon straps. The straps can adjust to accommodate up to a 50" waist. The harness has held up to moderate use but it feels cheaply made. It uses an o-ring which makes it compatible with the two dildos included or with any dildo with a flared base. The kit includes two o-rings of different sizes so you can use the harness with larger toys and you could use any o-ring with it to accommodate any dildo you wish to use. The pocket for the bullet vibe is a great idea but the position of the harness is a little too high for it to be super effective.

Size / Fit

This harness is great in its ability to fit many sized wearers. However, the straps need to be very snug in order for the dildo to be stable and this makes the nylon straps dig into the wearers hips and the nylon is very scratchy and rough. The position of the dildo ends up a bit high on the pelvic bone rather than down where it would press the wearers clitoris. So it's a little less stable and less pleasurable for the wearer than it could be. Also, a lower position would make the bullet vibe in the pocket more effective.

Performance

I'd say this harness is effective, but minimally so. It holds the toys well, is versatile to all sizes of toys and all sizes of people. You have to thread the straps through the sliders every time you use it. This makes it very adjustable but means it takes a little while and some dexterity to put on. The straps are very long which is great for its ability to fit people of many sizes. If only one partner will be wearing it, you can cut the straps but for couples who wish to switch off, if there's much of a size difference you might not want to make a modification that permanent.

I've had no problem using the harness in a variety of positions. As long as the straps are tightened well enough the harness stays in place very well and the toys stay stable. The harness is not very comfortable though because the nylon and plastic parts of the straps dig into the hips of the wearer and can be very scratchy. The bullet is powerful but not super exciting.

Care and Maintenance

Care is super simple. Cleaning the harness is as simple as running it through the washing machine and hanging to dry. Though you should make sure to take the vibe out before doing so! I store it in my underwear drawer.
The dildos can be washed with soap and water, toy cleaner, boiled, run through the dishwasher, whatever method you like. Very easy. Don't store silicone toys with other silicone toys or they will degrade over time!

Packaging is typical Tantus style clear plastic. It's uninspired, but it works.

Experience

Both myself and partners I've used it with have found the straps very uncomfortable and the position of it less than ideal, but it's effective. It does what it's supposed to do, but not especially well.

Follow-up commentary I still like it 25 days after original review

Overall, I'm not a huge fan of this harness but I can't quite bring myself to say I "don't like it". The problem is, I just have others that I like BETTER. This is still just what it's made to be. It's an inexpensive, beginner harness and I'm a luxury toy kinda girl. I like my soft, supple expensive leather harnesses and this just isn't that. But if you want a harness to play with and try out and aren't ready to take the plunge and invest in an expensive one, this is definitely the kit for you. But, if it turns out that you like strapping it on, plan to upgrade eventually and take note that the drawbacks of this particular harness are NOT true of harnesses in general! If you KNOW you like strap on sex and it's going to be a regular part of your sex-life, save yourself the trouble and get a nice harness. That said! I still use this one once in a while because I don't always want to let other people wear my leather since it's not as easy to clean. This I can toss in the washing machine and I've even used a very small amount of diluted bleach in the wash with it, so I do like it for that.

I think it does what it sets out to do which is to make a low investment starter set for someone who just wants to try it out. Which is why I gave it 4 stars. For someone who wants to make a harness part of their every day routine, this is NOT the set, but to just try it out, for the price, why not?

I guess if you're an absolute novice then the convenience and price of this kit balance out, but if you have compatible dildos already you can find harnesses of this quality for around twenty five bucks to experiment with.

I want to get into harnesses but unfortunately I'm partnerless.
