Dildolicious Ridges!

A rush of ripply silicone goodness! The Echo has become one of my favorite harness dildos in short order. Another high quality, made in the USA, Tantus product! The Echo will always be close at hand in my toy box.

Use

This dildo is suitable for vaginal and is harness friendly too. My husband enjoys using the Echo on me vaginally, either hand-held or in a harness to extend our play time. The flared base of the Echo makes it safe for anal use, though I have not tried it that way.

The Echo includes a vibrating bullet which slips into the base. The bullet is fairly cheaply made (not sure if it is a Tantus product or not) and includes a few watch batteries. I can't comment on the battery life, because I only turned it on long enough to see if it actually worked. While the vibrations of the bullet do not do much for me, the bullet cavity in the base of the dildo is suitable for use with a Tantus suction cup plug, which adds to the Echo's flexibility.

Material / Texture

This is another quality silicone product from Tantus. The workmanship on mine was perfect, with no surface blemishes or defects that I could find. The surface is smooth, and the Echo has no noticeable odors. Being silicone, it is non-porous but is somewhat of a lint magnet, so you have to take care to clean it before use. The Echo is not a realistic dildo, but that is not important for me as I prefer function over form when it comes to insertable toys. I think the ridges down the shaft definitely add a slightly different and pleasurable stimulation. While not as firm as my Tantus Hank, the head and most of the shaft of the Echo does a good job for me. The dildo is squishier at the base when the bullet is removed, which adds to its flexibility.

Design / Shape / Size

The Echo is moderately sized. The diameter at it's widest just at 1.5", near the base of the head and measured front to back. The ridges are wider near the top than at the base, which is just under 1.4". The shaft is fairly symmetrical in cross section, but is slightly larger front to back than side to side. The insertable length is at least the advertised 5.5", and might be slightly longer. The Echo fits easily and snugly through a 1.5" O-ring.

The Echo is very flexible without the vibrating bullet in the base. If you stand it on a table top, you can easily bend the Echo down in the direction of the curve so the tip hits the table while keeping the base flat. It bends almost as easily in the opposite direction. Without the bullet the bottom ridge is quite squishy, but from there up the dildo is fairly firm, but probably not quite as firm as the Tantus Hank.

If you find the shaft too flexible without the bullet but don't want the vibration, you can always insert the bullet and not turn it on. I find the bullet to be a little bit of a challenge to remove, especially if you shove it all the way in. It would be nice if Tantus would include a flexible silicone plug to fill the hole, for those who don't want to use the bullet and don't want the increased flexibility in the shaft when it is removed.

Performance

This dildo performs well in a harness and fits through a 1.5" O-ring. My husband likes to use this on me vaginally in our Bend over intermediate harness to extend our play time. Because it is flexible without the bullet, he can use it on me in a variety of positions. With other, stiffer dildos like the Tantus Hank, the only harness position we can use is doggie-style. The performance of the included vibrating bullet is nothing to write home about, however. I have not used the Echo anally so I can't comment on it's performance for that purpose.

Care and Maintenance

The Tantus Echo is made in the USA of high quality silicone. It cleans up easily with soap and water. Once in a while I toss it in the top of the dishwasher. I keep it in my toy box in a silverware tray which I bought just for that purpose. The tray does a good job in keeping my toys separated.

Packaging

The Echo comes in the typical Tantus plastic box, with a "clam shell" style plastic tray inside. The original packaging could be used for storage, but I find the box to be too bulky. The packaging is not discreet, since you can see right through it and it obviously contains a dildo which can't be mistaken for anything else. The packaging does not include any useful information on the outside, but refers you to the Tantus web site for care instructions.

Personal comments

I love this toy! I fully anticipate that it will become one of my favorite dildos for harness use.

Experience

My husband really enjoys coaxing additional squirts from me with this dildo! Our experience has been wonderful so far. The Echo is on its way to earning a prominent place in my dildo line-up.
Follow-up commentary
We still use this quite a bit, and I still love it! I enjoy the bullet vibe a lot more than I thought I would at first also. I recommend this highly.
