Once upon a time, I thought I was turned off by realistic sex toys. I thought that a disembodied cock was kind of gross, and not something I would want to stick inside me. Then I started reading some reviews of VixSkin. After hearing so much about how great it was, I decided it was something I would have to experience for myself. The texture of this toy is just pleasing on a tactile level. It's been said before, but it really is as much fun to play with as one of those squishy stress balls. And then when you're done relieving your stress that way, you can use it in a way that's much more fun than anything you could do with a stress ball. I really love this material. It's as close to real as you're going to get in a body-safe material that's not actually a part of someone's body. It has a firm core and a big, super squishy head.

Maverick is made from Vixen's dual density silicone. This means that you should never use silicone lubes with this dildo. Water based is the way to go, and yes, this one is large enough that lube is a good thing to remember. Silicone is always a lint-attracting material, but VixSkin really seems to be worse than most. So remember to give the Maverick a wash before use. (And after of course, but I don't need to tell you that!)

Let's talk about size. Besides material, size is the defining feature of this toy. Be sure you know what you're getting yourself into. I also own Vixen's Johnny, which is considered to be a fairly girthy toy. Maverick is bigger than Johnny, noticeably so. It took a bit of getting used to, but not in a bad way. Just be sure you're in the market for a large dildo before you buy this one. It's two inches in diameter. Fortunately, because of the squishy nature of the dual-density silicone, it's not difficult to use if you're warmed up. There's a lot more of the squishier outer silicone on Maverick than there is on Johnny, but because it's so large, it's still quite firm in use.

Maverick has two ridges: the head and a second ridge on the shaft. I was worried that these might be painful in use, but again, because the silicone is so squishy, they don't hurt at all. In fact, these provide excellent g-spot stimulation.

This toy has a length of 7 insertable inches. This is more than I need personally, but the extra length gave me something to hang onto. The flared base, while not ideal for solo use, worked well enough for me. Because it has a base, you can use this toy in a harness or for anal if you choose.

Overall, if you're looking for a large, realistic dildo in a body-safe material, Maverick is a great choice. I recommend it highly!
