Since this is such a rigid material, you do need to be careful that you don't thrust the toy too hard. It could easily bump the cervix and cause discomfort. Thanks to the design of the base, this toy is also anal safe. The flat base on the bottom is larger than the shaft and prevents the toy from accidentally slipping inside of you. The base is also handy if you need to set the toy down during use. Hearts Wand is made out of Borosilicate glass which has an Eden safety rating of 10/10. It's made from food-grade material, is hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free. The great thing about this type of glass is that it's much more resistant to breaking. If it were to break, it wouldn't splinter and break into tiny shards. Instead, it would break into large chunks that are much easier to deal with.

Being glass, this is obviously a very rigid material. There's no give to any part of it and no moving parts. The surface of the glass is very smooth, having no drag unless your skin is only slightly damp. Along the surface of the shaft are letters and shapes that are slightly raised from the rest of it. This area creates additional stimulation, but isn't overwhelming and shouldn't bother someone who doesn't care for texture. The way the letters and shapes cover the shaft is uneven, so the texture is pretty unique.


There was no scent to this dildo when it first arrived and hasn't picked up any odor since then.

The design of this toy makes it great for beginners to more experienced users alike. The top of the toy is bulbous but has a tapered area at the tip that makes it easier for insertion. Just after that area is the shaft, which is a very reasonable size. The shaft has lettering on it that's raised and adds textures. The base of the toy is larger than the shaft and is totally flat, allowing it to stand freely when placed on a flat surface.

The toy is similar in shape to a penis, but isn't at all realistic. Someone familiar with sex toys would probably know what it's for, but someone who isn't familiar with sex toys might just think this is a cute display piece.

The full length of the toy is 7 1/2" with an insertable length of approximately 7". The tip start out at 3/4" in diameter and widens to 1 1/4". That's the widest part on the insertable portion of the toy. The shaft itself is 1" and the base is 1 3/4".

Keep in mind that there is no give to this dildo, so the size will feel a little larger than a dildo that's the same size but is made of silicone or a similar material. Size queens, you will probably feel that this toy is lacking, but the average user should be able to use it without an issue.

The size is okay for traveling, but extra care needs to be taken since this is a glass toy. You don't want the surface to get scratched by anything or have anything happen to the glass. Make sure you store this in at least the included pouch, though it would be best to use a padded pouch for this item. Flying with it would be acceptable and shouldn't be too embarrassing should someone see it. It does have a typical dildo shape, but not everyone will recognize that.

This is a pretty basic glass dildo and should be suitable for just about any experience level. My favorite thing about glass toys is how well they hold temperature. If you're planning on playing for a while, you can easily place a bowl of warm/cold water next to the bed. Once the dildo starts warming up (or cooling off) simply put the dildo into the water for a couple of minutes again. The glass holds its temperature very well and should remain warm or cold for approximately 10 minutes before needing to place it in the water again.

Glass is really easy to care for. Before each use, inspect the toy to make sure there are no scratches, chips, or fractures. After each use, clean the dildo with antibacterial soap and warm water or your favorite sex toy cleaner. If you're planning on sharing or are switching orifices, you'll want to disinfect the toy. You can do this by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution, or put it on the top rack of your dishwasher. You could boil it, but it's best to avoid cleaning it that way since sudden change in temperature isn't good for the glass.

There are no material compatibility concerns and any lubricant type is compatible with glass. The only storage concern is that this is in a pouch and won't be in an area where it will be exposed to things that will scratch the surface or damage it in some way. It's best to either store it in the included pouch, or purchase a padded pouch for storage.

This toy arrives in a velvet red toy pouch that's sized perfectly to your toy. Inside, the toy is surrounded by bubble wrap to help protect it during shipment. There's no information included with the toy, doesn't come in a box, and doesn't have anything that even says the company name on it. The packaging couldn't be more minimal if they tried.

The straight design of the toy made it harder to stimulate my G-spot, but the bulbous head felt great when thrusting. It seems like this will be a hit or a miss when it comes to stimulating the right areas. Either way, the design is really cute and should work for more people than not.

If you find that this doesn't work well with your anatomy, you can always use it for kegel exercises or for massages. The end of the toy would feel great as a massage tool when rubbed against an oiled up back.
