The 'Original' by Doc Johnson may have a lackluster of a name, but it is one surprising dildo that is more suited for the intermediate to advanced users out there whether anally or vaginally. The dildo as you can see from the product page is textured with veins and a pronounced large head. If you generally don't like textured veins on your dildos I doubt you will like this one.

You can use this dildo just about any way and any where you can think of, it is 100% water-proof. Really you can only hold onto it at the bottom of the shaft where there is no flared base, because of this it is risky for deep penetration. You should always use caution using this dildo as you do not want it to accidentally slip inside of you. A trip to the E.R. would be incredibly embarrassing with this stuck inside of you.

There is very little taper at the head, so warm up and lube will be needed most likely and some force to get it in. If you are generally tight, you might want to use other toys to warm up with before inserting this one. It has a fairly good size girth on it; with the added texture it can be overwhelming and even uncomfortable if you are not prepared.

The original is made of 100% premium grade high quality made in the U.S. silicone. It is body safe and food grade material that is hypo-allergenic and phthalates free! There is no odor to the material generally until you start cleaning it with scented soaps. If you receive one that has a strong, chemical-like odor, I would call customer service for a possible exchange (real silicone should never smell like that).

The material is of average density, giving it a firm feel but a strong structure, the shaft is very flexible and floppy at times. It isn't squishy, but can be squeezed with your hand. The material has a drag feel to it over the skin but is comfortable when lubed up and used internally. This type of texture with the veins and head is more for advanced users and some intermediate users moving into this type of toy. You can use water, oil, or silicone-based lubes with this kind of toy, but a test spot is always recommended, in this case I would test on the underside of the base.

Measuring 7 3/4" in length it gives you enough room to hold onto it at the base while still allowing plenty of it to be inserted inside of you. You should take caution using this type of toy in this design because there is no flared base to stop it from going all the way inside of you. This is the real big flaw in this dildo because some people like to go deep without the worry of a trip to the E.R.

The dildo is about 1 5/8"in width/girth throughout the length of the shaft; my measurements show a slightly wider shaft by maybe 1/8". The textured veins on the side are fairly pronounced at also 1/8" which means you will definitely feel them inside of you if you are sensitive enough. It's overall shape and size is fantastic for me, it's like the perfect fit and feels great for anal use. I actually like the fact it is flexible, I can ride it and it bends to my needs and contours to how my body likes it.

The overall design makes it look only partially like a penis, in the general shape, but other than that I have never seen a penis look like that before. While it is not soft like a real penis, something about this toy feels incredibly amazing when inside of me. Obviously it is not discreet, but one positive thing with it not having a large base is that it is easier to store and travel with. This design is most certainly for more experienced users.

I love how this dildo feels inside of me in just about any position I have tried. Honestly when I first got it I thought it would be uncomfortable. But it is quite the opposite, the material and texture feels great inside for slow inserting or thrusting. Lube really works well with this particular toy as well, it seems to stay in place on the toy when using smaller amounts without dripping or running down the shaft.

I have tried many positions but my favorite would be riding this in the cowboy position. Whether on carpet of a vinyl floor it stays in place and does not slip or slide around on me. I can take this dildo fairly deep without discomfort, other dildos usually don't feel so good inside too deep. I really wish it had a flared base with a suction cup it would be perfect then for sticking on a wall and backing up into it.

The Original took me by surprise; I assumed it was going to be like any other standard dildo out there. I wish they made a few more like it, a smaller version, and 2 larger versions. Other than the base the other flaw I can think of is the head of the dildo, because it does not gradually and slowly taper, it makes it hard to insert without warm-up sometimes.

Cleaning the Original is very easy and low maintenance I have found. You can use toy cleaner or wipes, put it in the dishwasher (top rack), hand wash with soap and warm water, or to fully disinfect it you can boil for 3 minutes or wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. I dry it off afterwards with a lint free towel (flour sack) and store it in a zip lock bag out of sunlight and not squished against anything else. It should also be stored lying on its side.

The material does attract a lot of lint, so before use you may find the need to rinse it off with water. Again with lubes you should do a test patch on each bottle of lube to make sure it will be compatible. Some silicone-based lubes can be used, but not all. I use water-based lube with mine and it works great, a little goes very far with this dildo.

Fairly standard Doc Johnson PVC clear plastic clam-shell packaging that is very indiscreet and shows exactly what is inside. It can be useful for storing the toy if you have the room for the somewhat bulky and awkward packaging. There is a cardboard label insert with standard information on it about what the toy is and its features. Also refers you to the company website for further information and cleaning/care.

I have been using this dildo for a very time and absolutely love it. I have used it in the shower a lot and find it easier to have my fun in there then quickly and easily clean up. In using it I often come multiple times and it feels amazing, sometimes I'll add an extra finger in use for the extra stretch and pleasure. I have not really run into any issues with this toy at all.
