Use

My partner was the first to spot this glass dildo, and he declared it to be a "must have." He received no argument from me, as I was equally curious as to what kind of sensations this toy would bring. Once again, we were not disappointed.

Designed to be used either vaginally or anally, the Pink Rotator is a short glass dildo attached to a large glass base with a handle. It can be used for solo or partner play. The handle allows the user, or their partner, to insert the dildo then turn it around in a circular motion. The handle can also facilitate thrusting, if that is what's desired. It's advisable to use caution when thrusting, as the toy is made of hard Pyrex glass, and internal bruising is a possibility. Temperature play is also possible with this glass toy, but again, caution is advised, as getting it either too hot or too cold could lead to injury.

Material / Texture

The Pink Rotator is made of Pyrex Glass, and it rates a 10 on the material safety scale. As a glass toy, it is rigid and hard, with no give. It is non-porous, hypo-allergenic, and latex and pthalates free. Pyrex Glass can break and chip, so handle with care, but it won't shatter into tiny pieces, which is a plus. There was no odor or taste to this toy.

Texture-wise, there are groves in the bulb at the tip of the Dildo, and there are swirls of light pink glass that encircle the shaft. In addition to those, there are also small round nubs on the circular base to provide added sensation to the surrounding area when the Rotator is being turned.

I found the texture to be on the mild side. The grooves on the tip are rather shallow, and the ribbon of pale pink glass circling the shaft is not raised very high. Even the nubs on the base are small and low, so I don't think this glass dildo will overwhelm you with texture sensations.

My partner was at the controls when I first used this toy, and he rotated it and used it for gentle thrusting. Under both circumstances, I did not feel the grooves in the head or the pink swirls. However, I definitely did feel the small nubs that dot the glass base when he rotated the dildo, and I found that sensation to be very pleasing. This was my first glass toy, which makes me a beginner, and I really liked it. I think more advanced users would also like it, as it the rotation aspect makes for a different type of play.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Pink Rotator features a grooved, bulbous head atop a shaft encircled by swirls of pink glass. This is the dildo portion of the toy, and it is attached to a large, round base. The base is dotted with small glass nubs, and there is a glass handle attached to the back of the base. The design of this dildo works well for it's intended usage. The base and the handle allow for ease of rotation, once you get the hang of it.

The entire piece measures 5 3/4 inches, with 3 1/4 inches being insertable. The circumference of the head is 4 1/2 inches around, and the round base is 2 inches wide with a 1 1/2 inch handle. Clearly, this is not a toy for a size queen, but it is a good toy for someone just starting out with glass, or someone looking for the unique rotating sensations.

I wouldn't describe this toy as discreet; it looks like a sex-toy. As for travel, I would not pack it in a suitcase for air travel, even though Pyrex Glass is very durable. I've seen how "gentle" luggage handlers are when loading your bags on an airplane. But I would carefully pack it in a suitcase for travel by train or automobile, where you are in charge of your own luggage.

Performance

As I said, my partner was at the control when we used the Rotator. While I did not notice the grooves and swirls on the head and shaft, I really enjoyed the feeling of the nubs rubbing against my clit and inner labia when he swirled it around. I also liked the smooth feel of the glass, and I enjoyed how it warmed up inside me.

The bulbous tip of the Rotator could be used for g-spot stimulation, but as I have yet to find mine, I can't really comment on how effective it is for that use.

Given the wide base on this toy, it can be used anally, but we didn't try that either.

Care and Maintenance

The Pink Rotator is made of non-porous Pyrex Glass, so it is compatible with both water-based and silicone lubes. It is easy to care for; it can be washed with warm soap and water, or cleaned with toy cleaner spray or wipes. If you plan to share this toy, it can be sterilized in boiling water. Cleaning really is easy. It doesn't have any crevices or hard-to-reach places, and I cleaned it by washing it in with warm water and soap. After rinsing it off, I simply dried it with a clean towel, then it was ready to be put away.

To store the Rotator, I put it back into the velvet pouch it came in, and then put the pouch back in our box of toys. It's small enough that, once back in it's pouch, it could be kept in a drawer, out of sight.

Packaging

The Rotator arrived in very simple packaging. It was wrapped in bubble-wrap and placed inside a red velvet pouch with a draw-string. The pouch itself was wrapped in several layers of brown packing paper, and overall the packaging seemed to be very protective for a glass toy, which was good to see. No instruction came with the Rotator. If I were to give this toy as a gift, I would leave it inside the red pouch. And, as I stated above, I am using the pouch to store they toy in our toy box. I discarded the bubble wrap and the brown packing paper.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage

Experience

For our first glass toy, the Pink Rotator was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the sensation of the nubs on the base, and my partner enjoyed swirling and thrusting it inside me. We found it made for great foreplay; by the time he was ready to move forward, I was very excited and very wet. While I am not certain I could reach an orgasm from the use of this toy by itself, it is a great way to get things started.
    • Great for foreplay
