Flowered friend - g-spot dildo discontinued by Don Wands - review by SneakersAndPearls

I've dabbled in glass, but I have never had a Don Wands toy before now. When I saw this one though, I had to have it!

The Flowered Friend is a glass G-spot dildo with two insertable ends. On one end is a clear, teardrop-shaped head (a little over 4 inches around and 1.75 inches tall), and on the other end are two flattened spheres (4 inches and 3.75 inches around, and just under 7/8 inch and 1 inch tall, respectively). One of these flattened spheres is clear, and one is pink. Inside of the clear sphere is a blue, yellow, and white flower. The flower is very pretty, but I do wish it came in complimentary colors or colors that matched the main pink color of the toy.




Between the two ends is a slightly curved, 4 inch long and 3 3/8" around pink shaft that is covered in bumps. The bumps make a nice contrast to the smoothness of the two ends and makes it easier to grip. When this shaft is added to the length of the two heads, the whole toy in its entirety is around 7.5 inches.




The Flowered Friend can be used with silicone or water based lubricants, is waterproof, and can be cleaned in a variety of ways, including dishwasher and toy wipes. Personally, I like to clean my glass toys with soap and water.

This toy is designed for G-spot play, and due to the lack of flared base or defined handle, I can't recommend it for anal play. However, it is fantastic for temperature play. For temperature play, place the Flowered Friend in warm or cool water for a few minutes. Make sure you test the temperature before you put it on any sensitive area to prevent burns.




The Flowered Friend comes packaged in a simple grey cardboard box with a clear plastic insert to hold the toy in place. Even though the box is not discrete, it is simple and elegant, and has a velvety feel to it. If you're particularly into the Don Wands padded toy pouches, please note that there is NOT one included, so you must purchase it separately if you want storage for it other than its original packaging.

The gentle curve and rigidity of this toy made it very easy and comfortable to use for G-spot stimulation. The length is more than enough to hit my G-spot, and the extra length also makes it great for use as just a regular dildo. And, unlike some other glass pieces I have, it has enough girth that it is pleasurable without being so large that it's distracting or so small that it's frustrating.

I found that the smooth heads on both ends are great, depending on my mood and whether I want something pointed (tear drop end) or something more rounded (flower end). That being said, I thought I would get a lot of stimulation from the nubs on the shaft, since they are so very obvious when I held it in my hands. They are so pronounced to my fingers that they feel almost sharp, even though they actually aren't. In practice, though, I didn't even feel them except for being vaguely aware of a slight change in sensation, and I do mean slight.

I really love this toy. It's so simple and elegant and almost a work of art. The only reason I took off one star is that I think it would be even better if it had just a little bit more of a curve.

Even though there is nothing particularly wrong with this toy, it's not something I pull out of the toy box very often. The girth is fine, the length is fine, but there is not quite enough curve for me to be very satisfied with. If the curve was more pronounced, I'd love it more. As it is, I'll stick with glass that has more of a curve.
