G-spot dildo discontinued

Say Hello to Your Little Friend

The Flowered Friend would be a great first foray into glass dildos for anyone who hasn't experience it before. It's easy to use and versatile, and EdenFantasys sells it for a reasonable price in your choice of blue or pink. Experienced connoisseurs might hold out for something more interesting or turn up their nose at the obvious color use, however.
Published:

Use

The Flowered Friend promises both form and function. Both a deep blue and a light pink version are available, and you can gaze adoringly at the flowered end or keep it on your mantle shelf as a decoration. Of course, the real selling point of this piece is its rigid, bumped textured, gentle G-spot curve, and its ability to heat up or cool down with ease.

Material / Texture

Glass is super rigid, and this property lends itself to intense stimulation with little effort. Furthermore, any texture is easy to feel, and the same is the case with the Flowered Friend. The head is contoured but smooth, and the flowered end has one prominent bulge, followed by a smaller bulge.

The shaft is smooth with a series of six rows of bumps for a total of 30 bumps. All are perfectly round in shape, and the rows are staggered so that the bumps aren't in straight lines. Many similar toys have ridges, so the flowered friend offers a distinctly different experience to users.

Although the dildo isn't huge, glass can feel a bit abrasive. Make sure to use some lube--too much can cause you to lose your grip--and be careful when thrusting to avoid bruising yourself. Because this is made of glass, it's compatible with all types of lube. You can also dip it in a bowl of cool or warm water to experience temperature play. Without any warmup, the dildo will feel quite cool, however.

Design / Shape / Size

As mentioned, both ends have a round bulge of some sort. Although it would appear that the tapered end is more intended for insertion, you could technically insert the other end just as well. The more prominent bulge that contains the flower might be uncomfortable for some users. I think this makes the insertable length of 6.5" more of a suggestion than a hard rule. As long as you keep a bulge open to grasp, you're good to go.

Speaking of the flower, it's a generic shape with yellow and light blue petals. Some bubbling has occurred around them that almost looks like glitter. I would have preferred a purple and blue flower for the pink dildo, but it's still visually interesting. The center of the flower has two white stamen, in case your dildos want to reproduce with the aid of some passing bees.

In person, the pink is lighter than it appears in pictures, and both ends are made of completely clear glass. The line between the pink and clear is quite apparent, and some users might not find it attractive.

Although the dildo is only about 1" wide down the length of the shaft, both ends are slightly wider. The slick glass will mean that the contoured head on the non-flower end inserts easily. Glass has a hefty weight, along with its rigidity, that you can easily feel. However, it can strain your hands and wrists. Why not ask your partner to help out?

The shaft ever-so-slightly curves. This won't be the perfect G-spotter for everyone; however, the gentle curve will work for responsive G-spots that don't spend their time in hiding.

While you might consider this for anal play, the non-flared base means you really shouldn't. It also prevents this from becoming a strap-on dildo.

Performance

The weight, rigidity, texture and ability to incorporate temperature play make this a versatile little dildo. The bulges might be too intense for some, so start slow, use lube, and back off if it becomes uncomfortable. However, this is the perfect dildo for someone who likes obvious sensations, pressure, shocking temperature, or rough play.

It does nothing more than rub and thrust, so you might want to pair it with a clitoral vibrator when using the flowered friend internally. However, the slick head does offer an interesting external sensation that some people might enjoy on their clits, nipples and other erogenous zones.

Care and Maintenance

Glass is extremely easy to care for. The slippery surface lets dirt and dust wash right off. It doesn't collect lint, so you can vigorously towel it dry unlike that pesky silicone. Just be gentle so that you don't drop it in your sink or on your tiled floor when it's covered with lube.

Without a storage pouch, you might want to wrap this in a cloth or towel to protect it from banging around in your drawers.

Packaging

Don Wands has really upped its game since the last time I received one of their toys. The glass toys come in a box with a black-on-black motif that's really classy. There's text in baby blue and pink, so I imagine they can use the same box with both colors that the Flowered Friend is available in. The box includes a plastic hanging tag on top, but it could easily sit on a retailer's shelf. The dildo itself sits on a plastic tray within the box. There's no additional storage, and while the box isn't ridiculously bulky, I'll probably swipe a spare pouch from my collection to store it in.

However, the cardboard and plastic can be recycled, so good on you, Don Wands.

Personal comments

I found the pink to be kind of ugly in person. The flower doesn't match at all in my opinion, but it's just that: personal opinion.

The bumps look kind of oblong in some of the pictures, but they're more or less round and symmetrical.
