Don Wands curved purple swirl - g-spot dildo discontinued by Don Wands - review by Annemarie

Don Wands has done it again! The Purple Swirl is a fantastic glass dildo for vaginal use with an exquisite curve (with which you can hit your g-spot!) and delicious head. I don't think I would call it dual ended, though. The blunt end is just a little too blunt for my tastes. You can, of course, always heat it up or cool it down with warm or cool water, respectively.

Normal cautionary warnings: Don't put it in your butt unless you're extremely careful as it's not flared, don't get too rough with it or you'll hurt yourself inside. I don't even think I'd pass this one to my partner to use on me, as it's rather long and pointy.

Glass, is, well, glass. I don't think I can say anything that hasn't been said before. It's unyielding, cool at room temperature, solid... it's glass. It's one of the safest materials, and by far, my most favorite. It's odorless and tasteless, of course.

There is a rather wide ribbon spiraling its way from the base to the head (or vice versa, depending on your perspective). It is not an extreme texture by any means, but if you know you dislike texture, especially swirls, I wouldn't advise this one.

The Curved Purple Swirl looks, in all honesty, exactly like any number of other curved, swirled toys. But, for some reason, it feels different. I own so many glass toys, too many to count, all in some variation. But this one is seriously one of my favorites. So, why do you need to add this one to you collection? If you have something that's swirled that you like and something curved that you like, this will be your perfect toy. This toy is not dependent on anatomy, and would be a good introduction for beginners.

In total, the Curved Purple Swirl is 7 inches long, with just over 6 inches insertable. You could potentially use either end, but I like the tapered end, which stimulates my cervix just so. The tapered head is 1 1/4 inches in diameter and about 1 1/4 inches tall, the shaft without the ridges is 1 inch, and the ridges stick out about 1/8 inch. The base is also 1 1/4 inches in diameter and about 1 inch tall.

It's a very ordinary size, really, but it feels relatively large to me, even though I've got larger glass toys. It's wonderful. Obviously, it's not realistic, and, I think it would be suitable for travel though it is not discreet.

I have one complaint. I bought this hoping for another toy that stands up, but mine doesn't. I think it's because mine might be curved a little too much, therefore making it off balance and top heavy. So it doesn't stand up. A minor problem, but, otherwise I'm extremely satisfied.

It looks like a purple penis. It's not discreet, though it is very pretty.

Boil it, bleach it, stick it in a stew. Maybe not the last one. To clean your Purple Swirl, you can do the warm soapy water thing or wiping it down with toy cleaner/wipe which will keep it shiny and ready for the next use. Or, if you're sharing between partners or are a germaphobe, you can sanitize it by boiling it for 3-5 minutes, using a 10% bleach solution and rinsing well, or putting it in the dishwasher.

Storage is easy. It comes with a pouch, mine is blue instead of the standard pink, which is ultra padded and lovely. (May not come with pouch in the future.)

Its packaging is the normal Don Wands clamshell-type, with the sample of Wet lubricant and padded pouch. Again, this may change in the future.

This toy is worth every single bit of 5 stars. Excellent, excellent toy and well on its way to becoming a fast favorite. Even if you have a bajillion glass toys like me, the Curved Purple Swirl will stand on its own in its own way.
