Purr sex toy review

The pearly, smooth silicone is soft and yielding, but feels dense instead of smooshy, so I could really feel each flare in the ribbed shaft during penetration, slow or fast. With its gentle curve and smooth head, it made for lovely low-key G-spot stimulation.

The Purr looks a lot like my first vibrator, a ribbed blue contraption so lackluster-sticky, hard-to-clean jelly that didn't transmit vibrations at all despite being as loud as a lawnmower-that it was another five years before I tried another vibe; thinking maybe this whole buzz and batteries thing wasn't for me. Fortunately the Purr immediately surpassed my expectations and inspired me to finally throw out that blue bomb (still kept around for emergencies, of course) once and for all.

The first thing I did after taking it out of the packaging was try to pry the bullet vibe out of the base. It wouldn't budge; leading me to think it was glued in, wondering how on earth someone would use this thing in a harness. Although the Purr gives the impression of being sturdy and not easily destructible, I was afraid if I didn't cut it out, I'd break it before any real fun started. (Fortunately, Eden Fantasy's product experts suggested that I use some water-based lube and elbow grease to get the bullet out, which worked-eventually. After wriggling it out that first time, it's been much easier to remove for a good cleaning.)

The vibration? It sounds like a hive of honeybees. Not exactly the whispery kitten purr the name suggests, but nothing like the clattering and clanking of the blue bomb. The silicone dampens the vibrations somewhat, but I was surprised at how well they carried through the length of the shaft and still delivered a comfortably strong buzz to the head. The pearly, smooth silicone is soft and yielding, but feels dense instead of smooshy, so I could really feel each flare in the ribbed shaft during penetration, slow or fast. With its gentle curve and smooth head, it made for lovely low-key G-spot stimulation. Unfortunately, with the way the bullet protrudes slightly from the base, it was easy to accidentally bump the push-button on/off switch and turn the vibe off unexpectedly.

I tend to need pretty intense clitoral stimulation to orgasm, but it was easy to position the Purr for deep penetration and light indirect clit action at the same time, making this far more pleasurable for me than other non-rabbit style vibes I've tried. With enough stimulation to get me riled up, but not over the top, I added my favorite hard plastic wand (aka The Closer) and, with the Tantus' Purr still humming happily inside of me, I managed to bring on one of the deepest, longest-lasting, and most... comfortable orgasms I've had in a long while.

So goodbye blue bomb, welcome Purr. With all the qualities I thought I'd find and enjoy in that first poor purchase-soft material, ribbed shaft, and a steady buzz-the Purr unquestionably takes its place in my toy box as a strong, but gentle vibe to get lazy self-love sessions off to an excellent start.

I love this color still. Do you think the purr is a bit more stiff then it actually looks?
