Slim Jim - dildo discontinued by Happy Valley - review by PassionQT

After two failed attempts at finding a black anal probe of average size for my ass, the third time proved to be a charm! Slim Jim by Happy Valley, a Canadian company, caught my eye and I just had to have it. It's a perfectly-sized dildo to use with alone, with a partner, or in a harness. It's also an ideal, next step-up for someone who has already toyed with smaller butt plugs and is ready to take it to the next level, without over-stretching the sphincter muscle. Vaginal use is possible, but it's probably not going to be very satisfying for most women, as the girth is nothing to scream about.

MATERIAL & TEXTURE
Slim Jim is a 100% Silicone dildo, which makes it superb for anal play because it's one of the safest materials you can use in an area(s) where bacteria abounds. It's non-porous, latex-free & hypo-allergenic too. And the best thing is that you can sterilize it if you intend on sharing with a partner, on separate occasions of course! Use a condom if you plan on swapping it during the same session.

The texture is firm and kind of reminds me of rubber. The color is matte black with a fair amount of drag. Overall it is smooth, seamless, flexible enough to conform to the body, but rigid enough to not flop around.

Unlike most of my other, odorless silicone toys, this one had a slight candy smell at first whiff, which reminded me of Doc Johnson toys, but not nearly as strong. The taste is also slightly sweet at first. A good dip in boiling water should take care of both!

DESIGN
My total length measurement came in at 6-1/4 inches long rather than the 6 inches mentioned on the product page. However, roughly 5-1/2 inches of Slim is insertable, which is more than adequate for anal insertion. Girth-wise, it's ideal, with a 4-inch circumference and a 1-1/4-inch diameter.

The following image shows Slim Jim between the two other plugs I was trying to replace. Size-wise, it falls right between the larger, Thick Tool by Doc Johnson, and the smaller, Holt by Tantus. As you can see, I even had to support the larger one, as its lower shaft is too narrow to support the top heaviness. Slim doesn't have that that problem at all! It stands proud, well, slightly "hunched", but still unsupported.


The shaft is slightly curved and realistic looking. There are fine vein impressions that protrude slightly, which may or may not be noticeably felt by the receiver. The meatus opening looks more like someone gouged it out with a carving knife; it's a little sloppy looking. The helmet reminds me of Darth Vader's, but the edges are smoother!

The round, flared base is very sturdy and will support Slim on its own, but there's no suction. I fitted the dildo in my Spare Parts Joque Harness and it fit perfectly. It's may be a bit too stiff to pack, but it certainly isn't so large that you couldn't conceal it under some baggy jeans.

CARE
Silicone requires just as much care as any other toy, but it's reassuring to know that a thorough cleaning or sanitizing will kill off all bacteria. The packaging recommends soap and water or boiling the toy for ten minutes. Be sure to keep it away from sharp objects, silicone based lubes (use water based only!) and if you want to keep it lint-free, a plastic bag works best. I ran my finger nail across it and it does scratch on the surface.

The packaging it comes in is nothing notable. It's no more than a plastic bag ,which you could store it in, with a paper tag stapled to the top.

PERSONAL COMMENTS
I give Slim Jim a strong 5-star rating. It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of all features. The price is very reasonable for silicone and if you don't like black, it's also available your choice of Silver or Beige. Happy Valley made a happy customer out of me!

Putting Slim to the test was fun, and so easy. I used my favorite lube and slid it in to my ass with little effort and no slipping around. When I told my partner I had a new toy to try out on his tush, he was very eager. He's used to my Silk Large by Tantus, which is comparable to Slim Jim, but without the realism.

Another anal toy in my vast collection that is collecting dust, but on a rare occasion, I will pull it out and play with it. Ever since I starting playing with VixSkin toys, which are the creme de la creme as far as comfort, I just haven't found myself wanting to use this one as much, because it's pretty stiff.
