What the Heck Does that G Stand For?

The Blossom G is an inexpensive, lovely glass dildo that would be perfect for beginners and advanced users alike. It's size is unintimidating and the texture severe. G spot enthusiasts probably won't find that this hits the spot, but to each their own. While it did not fit my anatomy, that doesn't mean it won't fit yours.

Use

The Blossom G is a double ended dildo meant for vaginal use. It has no flared base and is very slippery, so anal play is not recommended. However for a very experienced user, the bulb end especially would be good for anal penetration. Just make sure to get a firm grip on this dildo. Glass is very slippery when wet. This is one dildo that can also double as a piece of glass art. It has a flower inserted into either end and has lovely red stripes.

As noted in the title, I'm really not sure what the G stands for. If it stands for G spot, which I am assuming, then the Blossom G is woefully lacking. Aside from a tiny angle where the head bulges (on both ends), there is no g spot curve to speak of. For most users, this will not be enough for g spot play.

It has five little nubs on the shaft, so those texture wary users may want to shy clear.Being glass, the Blossom G is very hard and very unforgiving. Care should be taken when thrusting so as to not bruise the cervix.

This would make a decent glass toy for a beginner. It's not too big and not to textured. It would make a nice beginner glass piece and would be especially good for those who love temperature play.

Material / Texture

While I do not like the design of the Blossom G, I can extol the virtues of glass. It is made from Pyrex glass. The glass is odorless and tasteless and completely body safe. Pyrex is the brand name for borosilicate glass which has boron added to it to reduce stress from temperature change. Borosilicate glass is less dense than regular glass which makes it more shatter resistant. It's shatter resistant, but not shatter proof, so always check your glass for breakage before use! Pyrex glass is the same glass that's used in your glass ovenware, so you know it's sturdy and temperature resistant.

Glass makes for wonderful sex toy because of its versatility. It's great for temperature play. Just stick it in under hot or cold water for an amazing sensory experience. Just be sure not to go from extremely hot to extremely cold. Shocking the glass can cause it to crack.

There are 5 nubs on the dildo.

The bumps are raised and extremely hard. They weren't that noticeable to me, but for someone sensitive to texture, they might be. It shouldn't put a beginner of the toy, though.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is lovely, aesthetically. However, practically, the Blossom G's design did nothing for me. The blossom G I received looks exactly like the one pictured, except for the color of the flower in the head. I personally call the end shaped like a penis head, the head. In the picture the flower in the head looks red. Mine was yellow.

Here's the dildo:

The two ends are angled slightly down/ up depending on which way you hold it. Whichever way you do hold it though, you can see that both ends are angled away from each other. Neither end is angled for optimum g spot stimulation.

and here's the head

and here's the ball end

As you can see, the flowers look identical. The head is your typical glass phallic head. The other end, which I use as a handle, is a ball. Both ends can be inserted. The head will feel more like a penis head and will give more localized pressure, while the ball end will produce a bit of a pop as well as a more diffused sensation.

Performance

The design did nothing for me internally. It was even a bit uncomfortable, and I can't even pinpoint exactly why! First, the curve was minimal. However, the slight angle that it did have just didn't work for thrusting. It felt uncomfortable. It wasn't quite a natural curve, yet also wasn't a g spot curve. The bumps felt fine for straight thrusting; it wasn't irritating then. But they really got in the way when I tried to angle the dildo up to hit my g spot. It made it very uncomfortable.

The opposite angles looks very pretty, but is very annoying during use. When I insert the toy head up, the end faces down. I keep getting confused and end up twisting the handle end up! Then the orientation is just off and the toy faces the wrong direction, making things uncomfortable.

Care and Maintenance

Glass is very easy to clean and maintain. It can be sterilized by boiling or with a 10% bleach solution. But for a nice, everyday clean, all you need is some soap and water or toy cleaner/toy wipes. It can be stored in the little red pouch that it comes with. Just be careful when storing not to bump this around. The bag is not padded!

Glass compatible with all lubes.

Experience

I have to say that I'm iffy about the quality of the craftsmanship. The red stripes look painted on. They are on the surface as opposed to being inside the dildo, like the Icicles 22. I'm not a glass blowing expert, but I think I finally understand why the Icicles 22 is so much more expensive. You can just tell the difference in quality. The Icicles 22 barely has any air bubbles and has amazing swirled colors inside the dildo itself. The blossom g merely has stripes on the outside of the glass. It also has a huge amount of air bubbles, especially around the two ends where the flower sits.

I don't know why this toy just didn't do it for me. It was not pleasurable at best and uncomfortable at worst. I think it may have a lot to do with my personal anatomy, so I'm going to go ahead and give this 3 stars. It's very pretty and a good size for beginners. Some with less finicky g spots may even find that this hits their g spots!
