A High Intensity Tease

If you want an all over teaser to spice things up or add to your foreplay, this is probably a good vibe for you. The slim body and pointed tip make it an excellent, if not buzzy, tickler from clavicle to clit! As for pure clitoral stimulation? Well. I've had better.

Use

The High Intensity Bullet is very well named. It is a bullet vibrator, and a rather slim one at that, tapered to a fine point to deliver high intensity stimulation to the clit. While it can be inserted vaginally, it hardly carries with it any girth or length that would make doing so worthwhile.

More than being a nice tease for the clitoris, the lower settings and soft material also make this little bullet an excellent selection for an all over teasing tool. The tapered head makes it ideal for circling areola and nipples. The ticklish buzz is fantastic down the torso and legs, as well as in sensitive spots like just behind the knees or up towards the underarm area.

The High Intensity Bullet's small size makes it easy to carry for travel. It's waterproof and is thus easy to clean, and easy to store. While I wouldn't really call it completely discreet, it also doesn't scream "SEX TOY" if it were to fall out of your purse on accident. (At least not in black. If I saw one of the shiny, metallic ones roll across a counter I might give the owner a knowing look.)

It has no flared base, however, and is not safe for anal play. Even so, it makes for a nice warm up for a couple or solo act. One thing to keep in mind however, is that it can get ridiculously loud.

Material / Texture

The High Intensity bullet is made of simple plastic, but for a simple toy it works best. The plastic is a rather safe material being free of phthalates. It also isn't porous so you don't have to worry about bacteria soaking in and breeding in soft material.

The vibe itself had no noticeable odor and was really rather unremarkable. This should not be taken as a criticism however, since I wasn't looking for some fancy little doo-dad. All I wanted was a bullet and all they sent me was a bullet. Smooth, slim, and designed for only one purpose.

Design / Shape / Size

There isn't a whole lot to say about the High Intensity Bullet's design. It's about 3" long (listed on the product page as 3.25") and incredibly slim. It fits into the hand very nicely and one of the things I found most useful was that I could hold the end like a fat piece of chalk. The reason that this was useful was because it provided me with an easy angle to manipulate the vibe over my clit and labia without feeling like I was straining to keep a hold on the vibe.

I would say that this is an okay vibe for beginners because it is completely non-threatening in appearance. But, do not be mistaken. The bullet is well named when it claims "high intensity" and if you're a beginner that was easily satisfied by light clitoral stimulation then this may be way too much as the next step up. If, however, you're a beginner and you have yet to find something to please your needs, this might be a good try.

For me, I found that the vibrations weren't greatly impressive. Furthermore, this required a lot of work for a bullet. Rather than being able to "point and shoot" (as it were), I had to rapidly flick the tip of the vibe over my clit while on its highest setting to get anything. It felt like great foreplay but not really appropriate for a grand finale.

Additionally, this vibe is REALLY loud on its highest setting. My Hitachi seems quieter under a blanket than my High Intensity Bullet (although I will confess to not having them both on at the same time to compare, yet). If you don't like buzzy sounds or sensations, this bullet probably isn't right for you.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The High Intensity Bullet comes equipped with one button on the top of the vibe. Press the button once to turn it on at the lowest setting, a second time to kick it up to medium, a third time to bring it into full swing, and a fourth time will shut it off.

The low setting is pretty much negligible in my opinion, but most low settings are (for me). Medium is actually a nice teasing speed. It provides enough power to be more than noticeable but still gives you somewhere to go if you need that extra kick.

The third speed I am honestly torn about. It feels ridiculously strong in my hand and the ruckus it makes means it should be incredibly powerful. Whenever I put the bullet to my clit however, I can't help but feel like the high intensity bullet is all bark and no bite. The sensation is distinctly buzzy and becomes less focused in the tip. The best thing I can think to equate it with is when you turn a loud song up too loud and get distortion. The highest level feels distorted, without clarity of function.

One other thing that you need to keep in mind is that this vibe does run on the notoriously difficult to find N-cell batteries. Thankfully, the vibe comes with its own and you can order two packs from Eden Fantasys for replacements. Since I've had my vibe (nearly two months now?) I've only had to replace the battery once and I honestly could have gone a lot longer without switching over.

Care and Maintenance

Plastic cannot be subjected to high heat so you should not ever boil it and this particular vibrator is not dishwasher safe. It is, however, waterproof with a nice rubber seal around the battery case. As such, washing is as simple as running it under some warm water with antibacterial soap or toy cleaner.

The other nice thing about plastic is that it has very few lubricant restrictions. Since this is just a bullet, I don't see any reason why you'd really need lube. However, if you like a more slick, wet sensation as you manipulate the vibe over your vulva then water, oil or silicone based lubricants are all perfectly acceptable.

Packaging

The High Intensity Bullet comes in a simple clamshell package with a single N-cell battery. The packaging itself is small and cute and actually a nice way to store the vibe when not in use.

It is however, just simple plastic and not very classy. As such, I wouldn't really recommend it as a gift unless you were getting a girlfriend an amusing going away present. Definitely more along the lines of a bachelorette party grab bag addition than a romantic sentiment between lovers.

Experience

The High Intensity Bullet was the first, honest to gods, bullet I have ever owned. All of my other clitoral vibes had been discreet toys in odd shapes or attached to larger toys for dual stimulation. I wanted to be able to have something that I could just grab for a quicky, without any real hassle or preparation.

While I won't say that it's not powerful, I do have to admit that it's not powerful in the right way to be wholly satisfying to me. I like distinct sensation, not noisy buzz. Even the Hitachi has a more sort of distinct bump to it's power than just a dull hum.

The High Intensity Bullet is nice as an intro to bullets. It taught me that my preference probably leans more towards eggs, if only because I found this bullet to be far too slim to provide adequate sensation in key areas along my vulva. Many other 'bullets' I've seen have been the same, whereas I've noticed a tendency for eggs to be a little fatter. As such, I'm glad for the learning experience.
