Black wet look skirt - skirt discontinued by Coquette - review by WhirlingStars

I got this skirt because its size options that tempted me, and I wanted to try out the whole "wet look." I got the skirt in the 1X/2X size, and I eagerly awaited its arrival. I ignored everything else in my package, darted straight to this, and had to try it on. Oh, I should mention that it has little straps on the inside of the skirt, so you can hang it up in your closet. I don't advise putting it in a drawer, as you want as few creases as possible. The skirt also comes with its own little hanger as well.


The skirt is not as tight fitting as I thought it would be, but hey, that is better in my opinion, since now I can get away with wearing it in public if I want to. The skirt is also longer than I thought it would be. I'm barely 5'1", so it's not a shocker that it is longer on me.

You get a sexy add on to bedroom play and an addition to your closets for going out, but I don't believe this skirt would stand up very long to normal wear due to the nature of the material and how thin it really is. I'm not too worried since, for the price, I can buy another one if this one wears down on me. The skirt has a rather simple construction to it. It's a basic little rectangle of fabric, but not so butt-hugging as it looks. Maybe the smaller sizes are different, but I just don't know.


When it comes to cleaning this skirt, it's going to be a hassle. You don't want to ruin it, so hand washing is the only way to go. Even then, you have to be as gentle as can be so you won't lose that shine. If you are willing to risk it, you might go for a machine wash on cold, and then hang it to dry.
