Black wet look skirt - skirt discontinued by Coquette - review by Beck

What is it?
The wet look skirt by Coquette is available in black and red and sizes S-1x/2x. The skirt could be suitable for public use, but this would depend on your comfort level for length. This is a mini skirt and I am uncomfortable wearing it in public, due to the length.

Material
The wet look skirt is made of 80% Nylon and 20%, which is exclusive of the trim. It should be hand washed and line dried to prevent damage happening to the material. There is some stretch to the material, but it does feel like if it were to stretch too much it would crack, however with proper care this should not happen. The color I have is black, which is shiny and somewhat sparkly looking, but this is the wet look effect. When you touch this and run your fingers down the material, there is a bit of a drag and it makes a noise, like when you move on leather. The inside material is much softer on the skin. It feels like polyester and is nice and soft. The material is very comfortable to wear. I do not find it to be itchy or anything else.


Design
I have the XL in black, which totals in at 11.5” long. It starts off with a ½” elastic waist band that is covered in a black polyester material. The stitching around this waist band is pretty good, except for the over lap of material, where both ends meet. In the inside attached to this waist band is the tag on the back in the middle and is black ribbon loops, for hanging your skirt. These are located on the side of the skirt and directly underneath them, on both sides, are the seams that bring together the front and the back. Then along the bottom is about ¾” of the wet look material folded up and then stitched to prevent fraying. The stitching is pretty well done, until you get to were they ended, which has some lose strings, but nothing too bad. This skirt is designed to be mini skirt that is low rise. It is also meant be rather form fitting, since the material is clingy.

Everyone will be happy to know that, I have found the size chart to be true! Only your pants size and hips are relevant with choosing this skirt.

I had been gifted the XL, which does fit me, but I could of ordered the L. I usually order up since lingerie tends to be small, but have no fear with this skirt and follow the chart. In my opinion the length of the skirt could on been longer, 11.5” of material is all there is to work with, so for those with bubble butts, this could be an issue. I find that around my 44” fullest part of my ass makes the skirt become shorter and it also makes the very bottom pop out. So it is not that form fitting in that area, if you have a fuller ass. There is about 2” of material from the bottom of my ass to the bottom of the skirt, which makes this skirt only suitable for bedroom use, for me. When I sit down I do have to pull this down first, otherwise everyone will see what is underneath. I highly recommend wearing regular underwear if this is being worn out in public, since when you do bend over or sit down it rides up. The front when standing is an appropriate length for me, which it comes to about mid thigh. The waist band does fit my 40” hips nicely and I was able to stretch it out to 48”. So if you feel comfortable ordering a size down, if you are border line, it should work for you.

I wanted this skirt to match the corset I had purchase. It matches really well and it can be worn during intercourse, unlike the boxers I also have.
Storing
This skirt comes on a hanger and in a plastic bag, as packaging. I recommend keeping it on the hanger and in that bag, then in your closet. This would prevent damage to the skirt.

I still love this skirt. It does tend to wrinkle and stick to itself, but it's a great skirt. I really love wet look clothing and plan to pick up a few of the newer items.
