Cute little guy, but...

The Screaming Octopus is a discreet vibrator intended for clitoral stimulation. In my experience, the shape was too awkward, and the vibrations far too weak to provide any kind of stimulation in this area. Just about any other waterproof vibrator can do a better job in the shower, but it's decent for a fun, gentle, all-over massage, particularly on sensitive areas like breasts, during foreplay.

It is also a waterproof toy that can be kept near the tub. You never know when he might come in handy.

This toy is made of TPR Silicone - a silicone-based rubber - which has a medium material safety rating and a slight rubber smell that never seems to go away.

The Screaming Octopus does have a textured underside, the bottom of the body and tentacles are covered in little nubs, but considering the weakness of the vibrations, it hardly makes any difference. The tentacles are also too flimsy to succeed at doing anything but get in the way.

It's designed to look like an octopus, obviously.

The adorably cute design of this vibe is why I (and I'm sure many other people) decided to purchase this toy. I could criticize small details - one of his eyes is lopsided, and for some bizarre reason, there's a tail sticking out of his head - but overall I still like the way it looks.

Being shaped like a cuddly animal with no wires or controls makes this a very discreet toy. Not only is it small (less than 2") and easy to hide, but even if you left it out in the open (let's say near your shower), no one would suspect this was a sex toy.

Basically, the Screaming Octopus is the simplest vibrator you could ever purchase. It's only control is a single button on the top of its head that acts as an ON/OFF switch. There are no other functions - it either vibrates, or it doesn't. The noise level is pretty low (but then again, the vibrations are so weak that it has no excuse to be loud), and quieter than my cell phone on vibrate.

The vibrations originate from the center of the body so they are pretty even all around, except in the tentacles where there are hardly any vibrations whatsoever. It performs equally well in the bath as it does in bed.

This toy should be cleaned before and after each use with warm water and mild soap or toy cleaner. It does have a tendency to collect lint, so I find it best to store it in a small, Ziploc bag.

Since it is made of silicone, it's best to use a water-based lube in order to prevent damaging the toy.

This toy is so cute that I can't dislike him, but it would be so much better if he had a little more power.
