Ocean - dual action vibrator discontinued by Fun Factory - review by SneakersAndPearls

It has been forever since I owned a rabbit/dual action vibrator, focusing mostly on clitoral vibes, G-spot vibes, and dildos. In fact, the last rabbit I had was a jelly one before I knew better. It was that long ago! When I saw the BiMiNi ocean, I decided to give rabbits another look. The short shaft and firm clitoral nub seemed like it would fit my anatomy, and I figured that even if it didn't, I may still be able to use it as clitoral vibrator.

Let's start with an overview of the packaging. First there is the outer sleeve. It's not particularly discreet, displaying a large photo of the vibrator on one side, and a smaller photo of a woman in a cami on the other. However, I do have to say that even though it is not discreet, it's not terrible either. No large breasted women making duck faces at you from the package here. The inner box is more discreet, and only has the Fun Factory log and “Your Perfect Moment” written in red. The inner box is nice enough that it could be used as a gift box, if you choose to do so. Just add some ribbon and a bow if you intend to use it as a gift.




The vibrator itself is very aesthetically pleasing. It has two curls (one for clitoral stimulation, one for G-spot stimulation) attached to a slightly curved shaft. The whole thing is made out of lovely plush-feeling silicone, with the exception of the base, which is plastic. Remember, use water-based lubricant only, as silicone-based lubricant can damage silicone toys.




Care is very simple. It's waterproof, so it can be cleaned with just soap and water. However, because of the grooves in the curls, I would suggest using a clean tooth brush to keep the grooves clean. The BiMiNi is also rechargeable with Fun Factory's Click-N-Charge magnetic vibrator, which comes included. Fun Factory warns that the vibe shouldn't be used while it is charging.



To use, press the + button to turn it on and cycle through the 8 vibration strengths. Press and hold the + again to access the 3 patterns. To return to steady vibrations, press the - button. To turn off, press the – button until it reaches the lowest intensity, then press the – a second time.

The side of the outer sleeve of the package shows a small photo of a bum, so I assume that means that it's safe to use anally, but that's not what I'm interested in. I was interested in using it as a G-spot and clitoral vibe, which is what I'm going to speak to now.

I'm sorry to say that this did not work for me as a combination clitoral and G-spot vibrator. Upon insertion, I found that it hit my clitoris right, but missed my G-spot. I tilted the base of the vibrator down (so the G-spot curl tilted up), and it hit my G-spot right, but in doing so, the clitoral curl was moved off my clitoris. It would seem I could have G-spot stimulation or clitoral stimulation, but not both. I did find, though, that the BiMiNi Ocean makes a really great external clitoral vibe to use during sex with my husband. The vibrations are a solid mid to high 4, making orgasms easy for me to reach without being too strong or too weak. Also, the battery is long-lasting. All the luxury vibes I've had promised long amounts of time on a single charge, but didn't deliver. I have yet to drain the battery in a single session with this one, and even my husband commented how long it lasts without power loss! Also, the small size is perfect to fit between us (externally) in the cowgirl position for clitoral stimulation. So, even though it didn't actually fit my anatomy just right, it makes such a great little external clitoral vibe that I have no problem giving it 4 stars.

I still love this little vibe, but I use it mostly as a clitoral vibe. As a rabbit-style vibrator, it just doesn't do much more than tease. I still love the strength and the color, and after a few months it is still working just fine.
