The Mona is a work of art. Lelo has created a vibrator that is beautiful and functional. It can be held against your clitoris for external stimulation, or inserted for vaginal/g-spot stimulation. The curve sits nicely against your body no matter where you choose to use it. The low deep rumble it produces is sure to please anyone. I own both the GiGi and the Mona, and although I prefer GiGi for purposeful g-spot play, Mona is better for all purpose play. I would say the Mona is a toy that could be used by beginners as well as advanced toy users. It has a gentle design, but it packs a punch.







The total length of the Mona is 8", with 4" being insertable length. Most of the insertable portion of the toy consists of a large bulb shape, with a gently pointed tip. It really allow you to put the vibrations where they're needed, as you can cradle that bulb against your g-spot or your clitoris. The insertable portion isn't terribly long, so you don't need to worry about hitting your cervix. This toy lends itself more to placement or gentle movements, and not so much to vigorous thrusting. The maximum diameter of the Mona is 1 1/2", so it's large enough to make itself felt, but not large enough to scare anyone. It isn't recommended that you use the Mona for anal play as it has no flared base, but if you choose to use it to tease your anal area, be sure to clean it well before using it vaginally or cover it with a condom.

The handle of the Mona is hard plastic, and the insertable portion is hard plastic coated in silicone. The hard plastic is smooth and slick, with no drag. The silicone portion of the toy has a lovely, rich velvety feel with a small amount of drag. The Mona has no smell or taste. You will want to avoid silicone lubes, as they may damage the Mona, but water based lubes can be used. The Mona feels great in your hand and is comfortable to hold. I wouldn't call it discreet; it would be obvious to anyone looking at it that it was a vibrator.

The Mona has easy to use controls. There are 4 buttons: a plus, a minus, an up and a down. Using the up button switches you to the next variation of vibration, the down button switches you back through them in reverse. The plus and minus buttons allow you to change the intensity of each variation. Holding down the minus button decreases the intensity and eventually will turn the Mona off.

There are 5 variations to choose from:

1- Steady Vibrations
2- Low Pulse
3- Medium Pulse
4- Fast Pulse
5- Rollercoaster/Wave

While on any of those settings, you can increase or decrease the speed/intensity of the vibrations using the plus and minus, which allows you to really pinpoint what works for you. The Mona locks for travel, so you won't have an embarrassing conversation with the TSA because it's buzzing away in your luggage. The vibrations are most strongly felt in that flat, wide bulb, which really works wonders where you choose to use it. It is quite quiet, and quite powerful. The vibrations are definitely a rumble, and not a buzz. The vibrations aren't transferred to the handle, so your hand won't get itchy or numb from extended use.





The Mona is rechargeable. While it's charging, the buttons blink; when it's fully charged they stay on until you remove it from the charger. It takes a 2-3 hours to fully charge, but will last for a few hours, depending on which setting you use, until it needs to be recharged.




As it's made of silicone and plastic, the Mona is easy to clean. After use, you simply wipe it off with a damp cloth, or use your favorite toy cleaner. The Mona isn't waterproof, so you can't submerge it for use or for cleaning. Take extra care when you're cleaning the toy to not get any water in or around the buttons, or in the charging port.

The Mona comes packaged like many other Lelo items. It has an outer box that color coordinates to the toy you ordered. Within that outer box, is a classy black box with your toy, the charger, a pouch and a lube sample. The box is great for storage, although you could also choose to use the included pouch.

Everything about this toy screams luxury and decadence. After having the GiGi for a few months, and falling in love with all things Lelo, I decided to get the Mona. I was excited to have a larger Lelo toy, and one that was a bit more of a "jack of all trades". Mona did not disappoint.

The Mona debut was during oral sex, as that is the way we most often use a vibrator during couples play. I love a vibrator against my g-spot while my husband goes down on me. The Mona works perfectly for that job! The smooth flat bulb covers a lot of surface area on the wall of your vagina, so it won't miss your g-spot, even if your partner isn't super clear on where it is. It is very quiet, allowing you to really focus on the sensations you're experiencing. I really hate when you are using a vibrator that feels nice, but it's so loud that all you can think or feel is "that is loud, that is loud".

Also, because the Mona isn't particularly phallic, it will appeal to all the people out there who aren't looking for a vibrator that could pass as a penis double. If your man isn't interested in using any phallic toys on you, this one should pass his test with flying colors! There is nothing trashy about this toy. It screams class, and you'll be screaming from its powerful vibrations!

Still no complaints!

This one is in the top five out of all the toys I own. Mona is still a favorite!
