How sweet it is

Sweet Embrace is a sweet vibrator by Evolved. I own close to a dozen Evolved vibrators, and I have been very pleased with their quality. When I saw this on sale, I picked it up on a whim. It is sold as a waterproof dual end G-spot massager. It has a cute "S" shape that reminds me of a dinosaur head & neck or a sea monster. I think it is visually appealing, and it looked like it could be used externally. The contours looked perfect for using on the entire vulva area.

It features two different sized ends. One end is quite small in girth, and the other is much larger girth wise. It may actually be too girthy for some women. Each curvy end is designed to give G-spot satisfaction. Just choose a side and go.

Alternately it can be used externally. The curves are perfect for nestling up against the lady bits. The entire toy fits nicely extending from the clitoris to the end of the (external)vagina. Of course either end could be used to simply stimulate the clitoris as well.

As with any vibrator, it can be used to stimulate other areas of the body. You don't have to stick with just the naughty parts. Run it across nipples, up your inner thighs, or at the nape of your neck. There are no rules with vibrators. Use them wherever it's pleasurable. Men may also like it on their manly parts.

Being completely waterproof, it can be enjoyed in the tub or shower.

Sweet Embrace is plastic which rates an 8/10 on Eden's Safety Scale. It is nonporous and phthalates free. Plastic is easy to clean and can be sanitized. It's a good safe toy for your body.

Being plastic, it is hard and rigid. There is no give to the material at all. It can't be bent in any way. That said, the curves do mold nicely against the body. The majority of the toy is smooth without any texture. It has a velvety feel that is very pleasant. The only break in the smoothness is the power button, the Evolved logo, and raised printing telling you it was made in China. There is also a seam dividing each end. None of those things affect the toy.

It does have a faint smell that is neither pleasant nor unpleasant. It's just a slight smell that is only noticeable if you have up to your nose.

The cute toy is pleasing to the eye. It is a bright pink, almost but not quite, a neon pink. I love the shade of pink. It is not muted or subdued at all.

The toy is not very big at about 6.5 inches from top to bottom. I was actually surprised at the small size when it arrived. That's what I get for not reading the product pages first. Here is a picture comparing it to G-ki.




While it is insertable, it isn't designed to insert all 6 inches at once. Using the smaller end, not quite 3 inches is insertable. The larger end can be inserted roughly 3.5 inches. I suppose you could go a bit farther on each end, but then the power button would be inside you. To keep a nice handle and the power button outside you have 3 or 3.5 inches depending on what end you're using.

The smaller end is 3.25 around at the largest point. It is pretty small, but it has a nice curve to stimulate the G-spot. The larger end is girthy at 5.8 inches at the widest portion. Women who don't like larger toys probably wouldn't like this end. Size queens would probably like it IF they didn't mind that it wasn't very long. I guess I should say size queens that favor girth over length might appreciate it.

A single control botton operates the vibrator. Push it to turn it on and change the setting. Turning it off requires you hold it down for 7 seconds. That seems like a long time to me. I am always wondering if it will ever shut off, but it does. That may not be quick enough if you ever in a situation where you need it off in a hurry. The toy has 7 settings.
1. Low steady
2. Medium Steady
3. High steady
4. Low to high escalation
5. Medium pulses
6. Faster pulses
7. Four medium pulses followed by 1 long pulse

The vibrations are much stronger in the larger end. They are not only stronger, but they also feel deeper. To be sure, they aren't as deep as my favorite vibes, but they're not too shabby either. They are strong enough to do the trick. The small end vibrations can be felt, but they are weaker and not as deep. I would rate the vibrations in the larger end to be just barely a 4/5. The vibrations in the smaller end are a 3/5. Overall I am giving it a 3/5 rating. The vibrations do feel a tad buzzy and, my hand started to go numb after holding this for a while.

So, how well does it work? I found a great use for it, but it wasn't great for my G-spot. Since the toy is marketed for the G-spot, I'll detail it's performance there first.

Neither end was totally successful for me. The smaller end was nice, just not spectacular and certainly not orgasmic. In theory the curve should have stimulated my G-spot. I didn't work for me. Of course, that's not to say it won't work for everybody. We are all built differently. I am sure some would find it very nice.

The bigger end provided a nice full feeling, but also didn't do much for my G-spot. Additionally, I don't think everyone would like this end. Not only is it 5.8 inches around, it also doesn't have much of a tapered head. Inserting could be an issue. Lube is probably a must for this end. I didn't have any trouble inserting, but removing it was a tad uncomfortable. My muscles clamped down on it. I had to pull hard to get it out. It wasn't painful, just uncomfortable. That makes me less inclined to use this end. It's kind of a shame because I do like the full feeling. It would be nice to use during oral sex.

Now let me tell you how it DID work for me. I was initially drawn to it because of the shape. It looked like it would contour nicely to the outside of my body. I love external stimulation of the entire vulva area, not just the clitoris. This just looked perfect for nestling against my lady bits. I was right. This is a perfect shape for full external stimulation. I can tease with light touches or push down harder for lots of pressure. This does the trick for me every time. I can use it with either end at my clit. It doesn't really matter which way is up. Either small or large end at my clit is fine. Using it this way is perfect for me. I imagine it will become a strictly external toy for me.

The toy isn't real quiet. It definitely makes its presence known in the room. It thought it was loud enough to be heard behind closed doors. I am happy to say it couldn't. Still the noise is a bit bothersome to me. Of course, the motor is humming, but it also has a bit of a rattle. I'm guessing it's the batteries knocking around. The sound was distracting enough to me that I like to drown it out with music.

It runs on 2 AAA batteries. The battery compartment is found by unscrewing the two ends. The batteries and motor are protected by a waterproof seal. As long as the toy is screwed together tightly, water is not a worry.

Sweet embrace is very easy to clean. The plastic can be cleaned with soap and water, toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. Since it is waterproof, cleanup is a snap. I find washing under the faucet with a bit of soap is the quickest way to a squeaky clean toy. I just always make sure it is screwed together tightly.

The toy arrived in a cylinder shaped plastic case. It is not a high quality plastic and not suitable for long term storage. Also the end of it was joined with a plastic seal. Without the seal, it doesn't want to stay attached to the larger part. Many of Evolved toys come with a permanent storage case, this isn't one of them. It might be OK for a short while, but eventually it is going to get bent or dented and need to be thrown away.





Even without the case, the toy is easy to store. It can be thrown in a drawer or toy box. It should be stored without batteries to extend both the battery and toy's life span.

I was surprised at how much I liked this toy. After all I bought it on a whim without looking at any reviews or information on the product pages. That's not my usual method. I definitely got lucky with this purchase. It doesn't work for its intended purpose, but it delivers all the same.

I would rate it a 3.5 if I could. I knocked off points for the rattling noise and the fact that it didn't work as a G-spot vibe. Since it was great externally, I bumped it up to 4. For women who like external stimulation of the entire vulva area, this could be a great toy.
