Vag Candy

This product looks nice, feels comfortable, and most importantly does the job pretty well. The storage case was definitely a plus for me since it would be annoying to have the spheres rolling off into the great unknown of a bedroom drawer. I loved that it came with so much instructional information. Overall, I think it's really nice!

Use

The Bedroom Kandi "Hold On To Me" Kegel spheres are designed to strengthen what are generally know as the PC muscle. A strong PC muscle aids in everything from urination to childbirth. I personally was interested in trying this product in order to get strong enough to use some of the awesome strapless strap-ons out there like The Share.

Basically, you use this product by inserting one or two of the spheres and squeezing your pelvic floor muscles around it for 5-15 seconds followed by 5-15 seconds of relaxation, depending on how easy it feels. According to the instructional booklet included, you'll want to do at least 3 sets of 10 repetitions at least once daily.

I think this particular set is very good for beginners like myself because they're comfortable, not too big, and made out of pretty safe materials. The interchangeable weights make this product good for more advanced users since they will probably be able to make a combination of weights that works for them.

For the love of everything, please don't put this product in your anus. You will not be able to get it out without much pain and suffering. If you want anal beads, these are not it. These are for vaginal use only!

Material / Texture

The Kandi spheres are made out of plastic and the sleeves you put them in are made out of silicone. Plastic rates an 8 on Eden's safety scale and silicone gets a 10. You can sterilize the silicone sleeves by boiling them if you wish. The plastic spheres can only be cleaned with toy cleaner, wiping with isopropyl alcohol, or good old soap and water. Because the plastic can't be sterilized, I wouldn't recommend sharing this product. A condom would not fit well over it at all.

The spheres are completely hard with no give at all, and the sleeves you put them in are stretchy and fairly soft. While I liked the idea of the sleeves being sterilizable, the material gave me some problems in usage which I will get into in a bit.

This product has a light plastic smell but it didn't bother me. No taste was detected.

Design / Shape / Size

The Kandi spheres are very cute I think. The hot pink weights looked nice rolling around in their clear plastic shells and the black holders provided nice color contrast. I thought they looked definitely discreet too since they are very small and don't look sexual at all. They almost look like they could be something you roll around in your fingers for stress. I thought the plastic shell looked a little ugly once you take the silicone off since you can see where the two halves were connected but, hey, it's clear so that can't be helped and I'm not going to be staring at it all the time anyway.

The product information on the site says the spheres are 1 and 1/8 inches in diameter, and that the sphere holders are 6 and 1/4" long. This is about accurate.

The first silicone sleeve holds one sphere and has a silicone retrieval cord molded into the design. The second one is the same way, except it holds two spheres with a thin neck between them.
The shape is basically that of your usual, run-of-the-mill vaginal exercisers. The set comes with two sleeves and four spheres, each with a different weight. The weights are indicated by the gold dots on each sphere.
From the instructional booklet:
- 1 dot = 25 g.
- 2 dots = 30 g.
- 3 dots = 35 g.
- 4 dots = 40 g.
So by switching the right sphere(s) into the sleeve you want, you can choose whichever weight is right for you, from one 25 g ball to the heaviest combination of the 35 and 40 g spheres in the double sleeve. I like this idea a lot!

Performance

I started out my experiences using the the single-ball sleeve and I had a feeling I was stronger than I gave myself credit for so I went with the 30 g (Second lightest.) sphere. I had a really hard time getting the ball that was originally in the single sleeve out. It took quite a few tries. See, the silicone sleeve fits into the groove a little too well I think. As nice as that feels, I would probably have changed the design to make it a little easier. It also works best with very dry hands so watch out.

Anyway, I applied a little water-based lube and inserted it without a problem. The size is very comfortable and easy to insert. I almost thought it could be a little bit bigger because I couldn't feel it much inside me even when clenching. I later found that I liked the double sleeve a lot better for this.

Unfortunately, when I tried to take it out, I found out that the silicone retrieval cord isn't sturdy and firm enough for that purpose. The sphere somehow ended up stuck near my cervix and the silicone just stretched when I pulled on it. I ended up having to retrieve it manually. This was not so much an issue with the double sleeve with two spheres since there was more to grab but I was a little annoyed by this. I think if the retrieval portion was thicker it might work better.

Care and Maintenance

This product is easy to clean and store. Just wash them well with soap and water, removing rhe sleeve around the ball so you get a thorough cleaning, and put them back in their great storage box. If you would like to sterilize the silicone sleeves, you can briefly boil them. I talk about the cleaning in the "materials" section of this review here as well.
Don't use silicone-based lubes with your Kandi balls due to incompatibility with the sleeves you put them in. Water-based lubes are the best for these.

Packaging

The packaging was absolutely awesome. I wish all toys came with as much information on usage and packaging you can really use for storage like this one. The spheres came in a cardboard box with another box inside. The outside packaging was very classy, though it does a picture of the product on the back and information on what they are used for, et cetera. Once you remove that though, the actual storage box is extremely discreet. It just has the BK logo in the center of the top and nothing else. It is lined with black satin and looks quite luxurious.
The instructional booklet included with the product is really great and contains information on usage, the benefits of Kegal exercises, and the warranty which is for one year from the date of original purchase. Nice to know!

Follow-up commentary
There isn't really an above option that fits how I now feel about this set. I still think it's a good product, I just hate how hard it is to use the silicone strings on the sleeves to get them out and I would like it if they came in different sizes instead of just different weights. I know, that's crazy! Me, the person always complaining about how toys are too big for me? I just think for this particular use it would work a little better and prevent them from straying to a place where my PC muscles get nothing and my cervix gets mad.

So, I don't dislike them now, I just feel more neutral and wouldn't call these a must-have product or anything unless classy packaging, nice instructions, and a safe combo of materials just happen to be at the very top of your list of important things to look for in a set of vaginal exercise balls, above perfect function even.

the fact that you had difficulty pulling these out is enough for me to not want to buy them, despite the nice packaging and the neat weight system.

Undecided - Well, it's not like they're going to get lost permanently like they would in an anus but yeah other people may not be as comfortable digging around for them like me.
