In this two disc DVD set, Tabitha Stevens takes you along with her on her journey to find herself. Disc one contains only the movie, which can be played with or without commentary. On disc two you will find all the extras, plus bonus and deleted scenes. The back of the DVD gives you an idea of what is to come without giving away too much information.

I found this porn to be very well produced. Now was it my type of porn? Not really. I'm more into more of the BDSM type. This to me was like watching a documentary. There was a lot more talking/acting scenes than sex scenes. The camera angles give you a glimpse of every possible angle, allowing for you to see everything. The music distracted me at times, and would also drown out sounds of the actors having sex. (It sounds like some kind of tribal music.)

Scene 1

At the beginning of this scene, Tabitha is sitting in a chair in the desert, explaining kind of what is to come in the movie. After the title and intro credits, there is a politician saying "porn is bad, and needs to be illegal." This scene also offers some girl on girl action. Sorry no girl on guy this time. :) After taking a shower, Tabitha sits down and starts to talk to the politician, telling him her story of how she became the woman she is today.

Scene 2

Scene two shows how corrupt people are. This scene features a lawyer who is "supposedly" against porn and porn stars, and yet he has sex with one. After inspecting her they get it on, doing positions like missionary and doggy. I found this scene to be very nice. It was more about sex and less about just sitting around talking.

Scene 3

At first I didn't understand why this scene was in the movie. It is filmed by the person fucking Tabitha, whereas all the other scenes are filmed from afar. Near the end of this scene, Tabitha finds out what her manager has planned for her to do. What that is I'm not going to say... :)

Scene 4

Tabitha is doing a photo shoot for one of her soon to be movies when she starts to give head to a guy. This goes on for about six minutes or so until the scene changes to her hotel room. She tries to get her friend who is also her camera guy to have sex with her. When he turns down the offer, she goes for the guy who was shooting with her (same guy she gave head to in the desert). She manages to get her friend to come rub her head while the other guy does her. At the end of this scene Tabitha goes to visit her manager, and finds out he has locked Kelly up and is threatening to kill her if Tabitha doesn't do what he says.

Scene 5

In this scene she is having an erotic dreams of sorts, including two business men and two women. Tabitha watches from the side as one of the women starts to go down on the other while the two men play with her tits. This continues for a minute when the women switch places, and then go to service the men. Tabitha watches as the women switch men and begin to have sex. After both of them have had their big "O"s it's off to scene six.

Scene 6

There is not much that happens here, it starts off with Tabitha getting a massage which leads to sex. It also flashes to her being in the desert. Here is where the Shaman first speaks to her, and he starts her out on her journey to find herself.

Scene 7

Tabitha is told that people only want to see young girls having sex, and basically that she is getting too old. This leads to a scene where again Tabitha is watching from the side as a young couple gets it on. Here in this scene is where Tabitha comes to the brink of insanity. It is the last leg of her journey.

Scene 8

This last and final scene goes back to the same setting as the first. Tabitha and the politician have finished their conversation, and now it's time for fun. She gives him all he wants and more.

There is a lot more that goes on in each scene, but it's all talking as she tells her story. Not all of it is narrated, most of it is seen first hand as it happens. I really enjoyed the photo gallery, and behind the scenes footage (found on the second disc).

I've never really watched a professional porn DVD; most of what I have watched has been from the Internet. So for this to be my first official porn movie it was definitely a unique experience. I watched how a decision of just one influential person can send someone on a quest, no matter how dangerous, to rediscover who they are and overcome society.

*Don't let the YouTube preview give you the wrong idea. When I fist watched it before watching the movie, I was like, "What did I get myself into...?" It makes Sanatorium look like some kind of psycho horror movie. But it's not, it's just like a normal porn. :) Anyone who enjoys any type of porn will like this. It wasn't my type of porn but I still enjoyed it very much. So much so that I watched it twice, and I plan on watching it again soon.

I have lost intrest in Sanatorium. For me it's just not my type of porn; I enjoy it but not enough that I have put as my number one favorite. Out of all of the Adult DVDs that I have Sanatorium is near the bottom of my most watched list. It's the overall set up of the movie that I don't like. For me the more sex and less acting that an Adult movie has is what sells me on a porn; and Sanatorium just doesn't give me that.
