Sweet Mint Organic Lip Balm by EOS (Evolution Of Smooth) is a long lasting organic lip balm that's sure to bring a smile to your face. This amazing balm comes in a wide variety of flavors and scents; Honeysuckle, Lemon, Summer Fruit, Strawberry Sorbet, Tangerine, and the one I'm reviewing; Sweet Mint. There's sure to be a flavor for everyone!

This balm can be used by men and women alike, and since this is not designed as a sexual aide, there's no pheromones, and nothing obscene about this product, it's totally kid friendly as well. That is, if you're willing to share! While anyone can use this product, it seems that it would work best for someone who carries around a purse or backpack since the container is a rather awkward shape and size to comfortably slip into your pocket.

This balm works great at soothing sore, chapped and cracked lips, and does a wonderful job at preventing such a sensitive area from becoming dry in the first place.

This organic product doesn't have any allergy concerns, but always check with the ingredients list before using, especially if you have sensitive skin.

The balm is neither greasy or oily, but has almost a creamy feeling to it when you rub your lips together. It stays in place very well and lasts a long time. The balm itself is very smooth with no additional textures to it, making it a great choice, no matter your reason for applying it.

The thickness depends on how heavily you apply it, and even when a lot is applied, it never feels heavy on your lips. The balm gives a clear layer of protection and helps to keep your lips hydrated and feeling their best. Because it's colorless, there's no need to worry about whether or not it will match the rest of your make up. This can easily be used with the products you already have and use on a regular basis.

This flavor not only smells and tastes amazing, but also gives a little tingly feeling while you're wearing it. The feeling is obvious and gives a minty coolness the whole time it's on your lips! The feeling will lightly transfer to a partner if you engage in a kiss, making it extra fun to share.

Sweet Mint is a pretty self explanatory flavor and scent. If you've ever chewed sweet mint gum, the taste and smell is dead on! The 'sweet' side of it makes it so that the minty aspect of it isn't too overwhelming, though mint is the stronger element of the two.

The scent is strong enough that it can be smelled through the container and when applied, might give someone the impression that you're chewing gum. The smell is great and is a lightly fresh scent. Though strong, it's not so overpowering that it's off putting. It might even help with bad breath if you're in a situation that chewing gum would be inappropriate.

The taste is just as great as the scent! Should you transfer some of this balm from your lips to another lucky individual's, they won't be put off by the taste and feel, so sharing shouldn't be a concern!

This product lasts much longer than other balms I've tried. It easily lasts a few hours without feeling the need to reapply. The tingling sensation goes away between thirty minutes to an hour, but that may vary by individual. Everyone's body reacts to things differently, the same goes for the lips. Some people might need to reapply more often than others. The length of time this lasts also depends on how much is applied in the first place.

Should you feel the need to remove the balm, you could easily wipe it off with a napkin or a washcloth. You might feel like there's still a slight tingle on your lips, but it shouldn't last long after you've removed it.

The fact that this balm is so long lasting is a huge plus. You don't need to be constantly applying it, which can be frustrating, especially if you're trying to heal chapped lips. Even when you lick your lips or engage in a kiss, the balm remains in place well.

On top of that, this product has no petrochemicals, no phthalates, no sulfates, no triclosan, is paraben free, isn't tested on animals, and is made will natural, organic ingredients. That should say a lot about how awesome this balm is!

The container this balm comes in is very unique. Unlike other balms, this doesn't come in a container with a top that just pops off. The cap on this balm screws shut, preventing it from opening unexpectedly while in your purse or pocket. The color of the container reflects the scent that it contains; making it easy to have more than one scent and know instantly which one you're grabbing. Each container contains 0.25 fl.oz. While that might not seem like much, this balm will last a long time!

Thanks to lovely little container that this balm comes in, there no need to apply with fingers, and no need to twist the base. When the cap is unscrewed, you can simply hold the bottom and apply to your lips like you would a chap stick. This makes it so that the balm only touches your lips, nothing else.

The container is covered in a thin layer of plastic that's loaded with information about the product; expiration date, ingredients, directions, etc. and also proudly boasts that it's not tested on animals and is organic. There's a perforated seam that is easily torn to help remove the plastic from the outside.





The bottom of this round container is flat, making it simple to set it down without it rolling all over the place. The only markings on the actual product are on the top and bottom. Both the cap and base have 'EOS' marked on them.


When you unscrew the cap, the balm sticks up from the base in a dome shape. This makes is simple to apply and feels very solidly in place.



Nothing about this item would make you think that it came from a sex toy shop. In fact, these are often sold in department and drug stores. It's very discreet, and very user friendly.

While the design of this balm is very interesting, it does make traveling with it sort of annoying. It's much harder than a simple Chapstick to just stick in your pocket and go. It would extend considerably from your pocket, enough that someone might actually ask you what it is. For this reason alone, I'm deducting a star from my rating. It's not about the balm, because I love it; it's about the difficulty when it comes to grabbing this for on the go.

On top of using Sweet Mint, I also have the Strawberry Sorbet flavor. I didn't care for that one as much as the Sweet Mint. The Strawberry has an almost 'flat' flavor to it. It didn't have the tingle and felt much more plain. It was still long lasting and worked well, but it lacked compared to the Sweet Mint flavor.

The price of this balm might seem a bit steep when you first look at it, but it's really not. This balm is not only going to last you a long time because you don't need to reapply as often, but the screw on cap helps to prevent it from becoming ruined when traveling with it. It's worth the price, all day long!
