Best vibrator out there

Buy this toy. Seriously. You won't regret it. If it's too intense, get creative and find ways to dull the vibrations. Of all the sex therapists and educators I've worked with/talked to, this is the highest recommended and used vibrator, especially for helping women achieve orgasm who have never been able to achieve it before. Take time learning how to best use it for your specific needs. Focus on the pleasure it gives you instead of trying to just gun it to orgasm.

Use

The Hitachi magic wand is great for both partnered play and for solo play. It can be used on the entire body, but is NOT meant for any sort of penetration. It's not waterproof at all and can electrocute you, so please do not try to insert it into any bodily opening! It feels fantastic as a general purpose massager or as an erotic massager. This is NOT a beginner vibrator. I highly recommend trying at least one or two less intense vibrators out before buying this one. Many women actually can't handle the intense vibrations, but there are ways of dulling them. Some women ball their sheets or comforter up and put that against their vulva while they then hold the Hitachi over top of the sheets/comforter. Other women will use one hand on their vulva/in their vagina and use the other hand to hold the Hitachi against the back of the stimulating hand so the vibrations travel through the hand and onto the vulva/vagina. So no need to be scared that you won't be able to use it at all.

I personally love the toy for solo and partnered play. It's bulkier so it can take some practice to learn what positions it works in. Spoon position is pretty perfect for it. Doggy works, as does cowgirl if the girl leans back enough. Missionary is possible but takes a bit of playing around with the angles/positioning. Some women like a light touch with it, where the vibrating 'ball' just barely skims their skin, while others like it for the pressure and intensity it creates when pressed firmly against their clitoris.

This toy can also be used on men! Press it against their perineum or anal sphincter for pleasurable sensations that can heighten their orgasm. Also, during oral, the Hitachi can be used against the "giver's" cheek, so the vibration travel through the cheek and onto the penis.

Material / Texture

The large handle is made out of plastic and the stimulating head is rubber. It does not have a smell and it can be a bit cumbersome to move around, but you get the hang of it pretty fast. The texture of the rubber end doesn't really do much for stimulation, but there are options for buying attachments to change the texture if you need to.

Design / Shape / Size

The Hitachi weighs 2 pounds and requires an outlet as its power source. The chord is quite short so you have to be almost right up against the outlet to have some freedom with positioning and movement of the toy. It has 2 settings- intense (5000 rpm) and ridiculously intense (6000rpm). Adapters are available to buy if you want to be able to have more control over the vibrations (although it won't let you go any higher than 6000rpm). Attachments are available for textured play, g-spot stimulation, g-spot and clitoral stimulation (like a rabbit type design), anal stimulation and triple stimulation (clit, g-spot and anal). I've personally tried one of the g-spot attachments and it didn't really do much of anything for me.

I love the Hitachi as it is. I personally require a lot of pressure to reach orgasm and I can handle intense vibrations so I can really grind into the toy. But holding it super lightly against my vulva and moving it around the whole area feels fantastic as well. The size is big (around 12 inches in total), but you quickly learn how to work it.

The toy is easy to hide in that it isn't a typical "vibrator". It's a body/muscle massager too, so there's no need to be super discreet with it. No one needs to know what you use it for.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I think the Hitach performs exactly the way it's toted to- it gives you the strongest, most intense vibrations out there. It's a very smooth vibration though. Not jarring at all. And it's not as loud as you would expect. Relatively quiet. The handle doesn't vibrate; just the rubber head. The switch to bring it from "low" to high is easy to control/reach while you stimulate yourself or a partner. Again... do NOT use this toy anywhere near water!

There's some talk about the hitachi "numbing" the genitals. This only happens if you keep it in one spot without moving it. The body responds to changes in stimulation, so you always want it to be moving, even if it's just a little. So if you find you're getting numb, just switch things up more. Physicians actually recommend it to women in order to increase genital sensitivity as well as enhancing arousal. Physiotherapists also “prescribe” the hitachi to women with vaginismus to help relax the muscles while still keeping their tone. The theory is that vibrations help confuse the muscles.

The Hitachi does overheat after 25 minutes of use and needs to be shut off for 15 minutes to cool back down. That's a bit annoying for when you're wanting to really draw the session out. It can be used with other toys though. I personally absolutely LOVE using my Njoy Pure Wand in me to stimulate my g-spot while I move the Hitachi around on my clit.

Care and Maintenance

It's a bit tricky to clean the Hitachi since it isn't waterproof. I tend to very carefully hold the ball under running water and use toy cleaner or soap on it to wash it off. I've also used baby wipes on it. I personally store it in the drawer where I keep all my sex toys and just give it a quick rinse off before using it. You can use any lube with the Hitachi. Although I wouldn't recommend oil-based lube as it's a bit harder to clean off.

Personal comments

Both me and my partner absolutely love this vibrator. No other vibrator I've bought has even come close to compare. For anyone who doesn't like it, I can just about guarantee there are things they can do with it that they WILL like, especially if they work to make the vibrations less intense if that's what the issue is. There are always ways to fix any issues you have with the Hitachi. Not so much for other toys I've used. This is your best bet and gives you such good value for your money. Definitely worth every penny. Do NOT try to save money by buying a knock off. It won't compare and they tend to overheat much faster and burn out.
